Here's the idea, instead of the traditional draft order, I did a lottery style draft order like the NBA does. I took the 20 teams who did not make the playoffs and for every loss they had they got 1 lottery ticket. Then I selected for each position. More tickets = better chance for each pick. Started at 1, went to 20, then playoff teams. Just a different idea to fuck with a little, see how things could possibly work out if the NFL used the same horrible system that the NBA does.

Houston would be guaranteed #4 pick at worst if it was the NBA format.

I know but that's more maths than I was willing to do. My way was easier.

You should do a mock where you take the actual draft order, and then try to slot players to certain teams based on the teams' needs and the players' relative talent level.

Houston with the number 7 pick doh. That would suck, lol.

And I think Atlanta would take Robinson (OT) with the #2 pick.

Falling to #17, NTY.

Carr pick there doesn't make a whole lot of sense since at that point there's only 1 other team hunting for a QB (Huston). We could've grabbed Cooks or Nix with the first and then had Garo or Carr in the 2nd.

He'd never make it to you guys in the second. Jacksonville, Houston, Tennessee, Buffalo, Arizona and St. Louis would all be players for him if he was still there.

Jacksonville, yes. Huston took a QB. I get the sense that Buffalo is content for a season, Arizona doesn't seem in a hurry to kick out Palmer, and St. Louis is still on the Bradford bus. Tennessee, maybe.

That still leaves us Garoppolo or Carr, if Tennessee doesn't take a QB and Jacksonville does.

or one where he mocks what each team would take with each pick

ie: thread one is the #1 pick and he then lists what each of hte 32 teams would take - thread two is the #2 with #1 being the most mocked from previous thread

idk this is a stupid idea - it seemed good until i hit reply. lol
