These are just a couple miscellaneous trades/picks/non picks that I think can/won't happen in this draft. I only have 5 right now but I'll add more as they come to me. Feel free to post your own and offer your opinions on what I have here. These are mostly just personal feelings here, nothing concrete really, but I figured this could be a fun conversation starter.

1) The Houston Texans send the first overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Ben Roethlesberger.
The Houston Texans are not in rebuilding mode. They have a lot of really good pieces. Giving them a top tier quarterback could be just what they need. Not only are they getting that quarterback, they aren’t giving up a whole lot. They likely would have taken a young quarterback with this pick who they would only be able to hope worked out. With Ben, they know what they’re getting. There might be a few other picks thrown in from either or both sides to make this all work out happily, but Houston gets their quarterback. Pittsburgh on the other hand is in a rebuild, unlike Houston. Let’s be real here, Pittsburgh isn’t ready to win now, even with a perfect draft. There have been plenty of rumors swirling around Ben being traded and Pittsburgh has squashed most of it but this offer may be too appealing. They can use the first overall pick to take Clowney or Mack and revitalize their aging defense or take the young quarterback of their choosing. Whichever way they go, they’ll also still have their first round pick at 15 to address another need early on with young talent. This is a win win for everyone involved.

2) The Tennessee Titans will draft Johnny Manziel.
This of course is only good if Manziel falls to the Titans. They will not move up for him but if Manziel slips a bit as many expect him to do, I have very little doubts the Titans will pass on him unless there is another top prospect they simply cannot pass on. And that may very well be the case. They could go in a few directions, OT, CB, Pass Rusher so it’d come down to who they value most but in my opinion, if Manziel is there and the options are between him, either of the top corners, any OT not named Matthews or Robinson or Barr (assuming Mack and Clowney are gone) then my money is on Manziel being a Titan.

3) The San Francisco 49ers trade up to draft Mike Evans.
San Francisco would love to trade up and land Sammy Watkins but that is going to take a lot to make happen. While they have the draft picks to persuade a team in the top 5 to make the move, I doubt the Niners will want to part with nearly their entire draft for Watkins. But, moving into the 10-15 range to land Mike Evans could be entirely possible. They need a better receiver on their team. Crabtree is solid and Q is a beast but he’s getting old and we still need to see how Crabtree can come back as he never really looked like his former self this year. Moving up for Evans shouldn’t take too much. Their first rounder and maybe both seconds should do it. Honestly, they could probably get away with their first, second and a third. Maybe even a 2015 pick.

4) The Jaguars will trade down in the first round and then back into the end of the first for Jimmy Garoppolo.
OK, there’s a lot here. First the Jaguars are going to move down in the first round from pick #3. They’re likely going to trade with the Bills because the Bills want Bortles (of course this is assuming Bortles is available). So now they’re at pick #9 with an additional second (most likely, I don’t have all the details on that trade thought out lol). They draft whoever they want. Pass rusher, receiver, tackle, corner, whatever it is. Picks 27-32 come rolling around. These are all teams who most likely do not need a corner and could be interested in moving back. Jacksonville is now sitting on two second round picks, 1 third, 2 fourths, 3 fifths, 2 sixths and a seventh. They have ammo. They’ve shown a bit of affection for Garoppogod, why not make the move? There are a few teams ahead of them in the second who may want/need to draft a QB. If they leapfrog them into the first, they can secure their franchise quarterback without sacrificing too many picks.

5) The Detroit Lions will not trade up for Sammy Watkins.
I know Lions fans, I know. I know you want Sammy on your team but I just do not think it’ll happen. They just dumped a chunk of salary on Tate who’s a pretty good compliment to Calvin. There is a lot of receiver talent in this draft and the Lions have a few other needs they can address with their first round pick. I think this is just some massive smoke they’re blowing because they want someone else. Might even be Mike Evans to be honest, but I just highly doubt they go after Watkins.

Where did you hear the bills want bortles? I understand these are just outrageous trades that 90% won't happen but comeeee on. Bills are content to seeing what the have in Manuel from what I've read, they may trade up for Kalil Mack, that is more reasonable.

Why not? Ben is better than any prospect in this draft. He's arguably a top 5 QB still (more realistically a top 10) and he's still got time. You could draft a QB next year to groom behind him without starting completely fresh.

I love Ben, but I think it's 2-3 years to late for that. At best we'd get 5 more years out of him.

hope we don't get bortles. It should between Clowney, Bridgewater, Mack, and Manziel.
