With Teddy having a fairly shitty showing at his pro day here’s the premise for this mock. Last year there weren’t any QBs worth taking in the first round, let alone the top 5, this year, there’s a few Qbs worthy of a top 5 selection. What if none of them go in the top 5? That’s what I’m going with in this mock.

Just wanted to drop by and say, I (We) really appreciate your work. I know not all of them are correct but I like reading your draft analysis and reasoning.

Just wanted to drop by and say, I (and only I) really don't appreciate your "work." I know none of them are even remotely correct, and I think you are a bad lover and a poor dresser.

Just an update on Oakland's situation:

OL has been totally reworked with lots of FA signings. We picked up a new CB, and added a WR (James Jones). We filled all of the missing positions on our DL and picked up another LB. Our biggest needs are (currently) QB and S. Within reality, there is no way we pass up a QB in the first without trading down.

But I know this is a draft of no-QB in the top 5.

I think if we (for some reason) passed on a QB in the first, we'd take one in the second. Derek Carr seems to be a nice fit. Beyond that, RB depth might be nice--we have the oft-injured McFadden and the unknown guy from the CFL. I think our DL is pretty solid after all the FA work, same with our OL. If no good RB, S, or QB is available, we're almost at the point where BPA is our approach. We're locked in on two CBs (one FA, one D.J. Hayden waiting to develop), and have some solid #2 and 3 options at WR. TE shouldn't be a concern--Mychal Rivera is solid. So it all comes down to QB > S > RB. S is more resolved if we resign Woodson.

With getting saffold I don't see us picking an ot first. We have two tackles and saffold can sub in at LT until long is healthy if needed. We will probably pick up a guard with our 2nd or 3rd pick and depth at OT in later rounds. We will get Sammy Watkins or trade down imo( hopefully trade down)
