I feel when I'm in the D2 forums, When i'm selling something, I would like to close the thread after I have sold it. I've had people post on my threads after I've sold the item because they don't read every post. I use the search function when looking for an item, when I see it for sale, I usually try and buy it. I hate to see items in the search function when they are already sold.

When I'm in the Computer hardware section, I've answered and got answers to plenty of questions. I don't like getting wise remarks after or random spam in my threads. I would like to just have the option to close my own thread once the answer suites me.

IDK, this is just my opinion. Hopefully JSP will take it seriously because I know a good amount of people would like to have this option.

Voted yes, no sense in letting people spam and create discussions that turn into flame wars anyway- close it once its answers/sold/etc

Just let the thread die. Most D2 forums move so fast that your thread will be off the first page within 60 seconds, off the top 3 in 2-3 minutes.
When D3 comes out, I could see the d2 forums dying down quiet a bit, so it could be a useful feature, but I think there are other ways to go about this.

Notice it's just a button like the add reply? Won't be much work to add it IMO.

In my opinion this isn`t really necessary - could be useful at times I guess. Also, if you make it a button make sure a confirm window pops up, if not people will accidentally close them

This has been suggested many, many times and denied each time. There is no need for users to be able to do this.
