Already been suggested before, I think the general concensus was that normal users shouldn't be able to close their own topics at a whim, and that it would get tons of unnecessary requests.
Understand that, that is why i suggested for a mod or med to close it, if it was appropriate.
Thank you, that helps out though.

For a start u need to notice a difference between med (mediator) and mod (moderator)
Mediators can't close topics, only trade assistants and higher are able to.
My opinion is that would only make their job harder due to larger number of requests which are really less important.
If u really need ur topic closed for any reason u can allways PM some1 from moderator team and ask for that.
And for more than 2 topics in top 50

if u request ur topic to get closed it will still be in top 50 right? And it cont's like third topic

Sry I am against that suggestion.
#1 Thank you for letting me know different criteria between Mods/Meds & Trade Assistants.
#2 As for making the job harder, would it be any different to "Request Mod/Med/Trade Assitant"
and while they come to help with Sale, ask them to close thread after trade??
#3 I would think that 3 ACTIVE topics in the top 50 would count against the trade rules?, not 1 closed & 2 active.
Anyway, thank you for you information, this is good to understand these things.

well , usually you ask a mod to close your topic on request if you decide to keep an item or because of the spam on this topic.
if the topic is left alone, the trade is done and nobody post on it anymore, where is the point of closing it ?
sorry, voted no

Thank you for you response.
As I can see now from these responses, that this idea is null & void.
Anyway, thank you all (3) for spending the time to read.
