I'm sure this has been suggested before. I think there that there should be an option right next to "New Thread" and "Add Poll" that reads "Close Thread". Many people often make threads that they end up not needing seconds afterwards, those threads just take up space and/or become spam threads. Also this would entail less work for Mediators and allow them to do other more important things. Let me know what you think.
