Important information before starting

• Do NOT ever try and repay a scam without using a repay mediator. You will most likely have to pay it again with a mediator.
  
• Do NOT try and repay scams without having a repay topic.
  
• Do NOT bump your repay topic unless instructed to do so.
  
• Do NOT ask other people to post vouches in your topic. Vouches mean nothing.
  
• Do NOT make more than ONE topic. It will only cause confusion and slow your repay process down.
  
• Do NOT post in other people's topics, even if you think you know the answer.
  
• Do NOT PM njaguar or other members of the mod team about your case, they will simply send you back to us.
  
• You may NOT repay your scams with locked fg, or with fg on a multi account.
  
• We will not even discuss unlocking you until your scams are repaid.
  
• If you PM a repay mediator or Team Leader, wait patiently for a reply. We are all busy and will reply when we can. If the person you PM'ed has been online and you don't hear back after 72 hours, you may PM again.

Scam repayment steps

Step 1
Make a scam repay topic in the Why Am I Locked? forum.
- You do not need to bump this topic. We will post in your topic when we get to it.
- Make sure you clearly state that you want to repay your scams. We are not here to force you to repay your scams, we are here to help you repay them once you are ready and willing.

Step 2
A scam repay mediator will post in your topic and PM you with the links to the scams that you have to repay along with the value of each scam. You may only repay using the methods listed below under "repay methods".
- Keep in mind these mediators are volunteering their time to help you fix the wrongs that you did. Treat them with respect.

Step 3
Repay your scams using one of the methods described below.
- You may take as much time as you need, but you may ONLY repay using one of the described methods.
- Any attempts to shortcut or get around the repayment will only prolong the time you are locked.
- Arguing with the mediator over what scams you have to repay is pointless. You have to repay the scams you are sent. If you argue we will simply wait until you are ready to repay them.


Repay methods

The methods outlined below are the ONLY options you have for repaying your scams. There are no other ways.

Repaying scams with forum gold

1. Friend repays your scams with forum gold

• You talk with your friend about repaying for you and they agree.
  - DO NOT beg random people to repay your scams for you.
  
• Your friend sends your repay mediator enough fg to exactly cover one or more of your scams.
  - We do not take partial payments towards scams. The fg sent has to be exactly enough to cover specific scams.
  - Make sure your friend puts in the fg comment "_______ scam repay". In the blank have them put your d2jsp account name.
  
• The repay mediator distributes the fg to the victims of the scams, or to njaguar in the case that the victim is locked, banned, or has 100% warn.
  
• You wait for further instructions.

2. You sell items vs fg using a mediator. The fg is used to repay your scams.

• You create a trade topic in the appropriate trading ground.
  - Make sure you specify that the trades will be for fg to repay your scams and that you will be using a mediator.
  - Make sure the trades you are doing are for an amount of fg that will exactly repay specific scams. We do not take partial payments and left over fg will not be given to you.
  
• Complete the trade using a mediator. Be sure to explain the situation to them.
  
• Have the mediator send the fg from the trade to your repay mediator.
  - Make sure they put "________ scam repay" in the comment. In the blank they put your d2jsp account name.
  
• The repay mediator distributes the fg to the victims of the scams, or to njaguar in the case that the victim is locked, banned, or has 100% warn.
  
• You wait for further instructions.

3. You purchase fg from njaguar. The fg is used to repay your scams.

• You purchase fg by mail as outlined in this Guide.
  - You must purchase exactly the amount of fg needed to repay your scams. Your mediator can help you determine that amount.
  - You must include a note with your letter by mail. Be sure to include your jsp account and that the fg is being purchased for a scam repayment.
  
• njaguar will send the fg to your repay mediator once he receives payment
  
• The repay mediator distributes the fg to the victims of the scams, or to njaguar in the case that the victim is locked, banned, or has 100% warn.
  
• You wait for further instructions.

Repaying scams with items

1. Give items directly to the victim to compensate for the scam.

• Since you can not pm them, work with your repay mediator to contact your victim(s).
  
• Contact your scam repay mediator stating you are both in game and ready to conduct the repayment.
  - Do not contact the mediator until you have both agreed upon the repayment. If we arrive in the game and you have not both agreed we will leave until you are both ready.
  - If your repay mediator is not online you may contact any online mediator from the Scam repay mediator list below.
  - Include in your PM a link to your repay topic, the game name/password, realm, core, and a list of the items that will be the repayment.
  
• The repay mediator will join your game and mediate the transaction.
  
• You wait for further instructions.

Other important information

• If the victim is locked, banned or has 100% warn, you MUST repay them with fg. The fg will be sent to njaguar.
  
• If the victim is inactive, you either have to wait until they come back or repay with fg.
  
• You may NOT repay your scams with locked fg, or with fg from a multi account.
  
• We will NOT discuss unlocking or anything related to it until your scams are repaid.
  
• While locked, you may not use fg in any way except those outlined above. If you attempt to sell items and have a friend hold fg for you, or have a friend buy you items with fg, your friend may be locked.
  
• Once all of your scams are repaid, you will be contacted by a moderator with further information.
