Ladsy is the one that is always asking questions "just for fun".
Thanks rayndaddy.
If your goal was purely to make yourself a pure survivalist, you would need to consider the following:
1. Agility training (The ability to become more agile, with enhanced dexterity and flexibility)
2. Strength training (practical strength training only, with particular attention to strongman type exercises in which large heavy objects are moved in a logical manner)
3. Muscular endurance (the ability to hold, move, or repetitively manipulate a weighted object a greater length of time or greater number of times)
4. Mental Training (the ability to deprive yourself of sleep and still be able to function properly, the ability to control a situation, including your fears, the ability to find creative ways out of certain situations)
5. Cardiovascular training (the ability to run, move, jump, etc. for long distances, even in low oxygen environments, and sometimes without sufficient water)
6. Awareness training (The ability to see things, hear things, survey situations, and observe details that otherwise would go unnoticed.
7. Tool and Firearm training (The ability to utilize a wide variety firearms with great proficiency as well as be able to use a multitude of tools with high proficiency)
8. Scavenging, Hunting, and Gathering training (the ability to forage for food, hunt for food, and gather items used for survival, including water)
9. Geographical training (the ability to know a particular large area, including the structures therein, to such a great degree that you are able to navigate without a map, locate areas others would be unable to find, and create escape routes and safe havens.
10. Medical training (the ability to understand the human body and anatomy, as well as basic medicine, surgical procedures, diagnosis, first aid, and emergency treatment).
The above list is in no particular order of importance, however, all points are critical in the event of an "End of the world as we know it" scenario.
In order to train for these things, the resounding key point is repetition and training for real life.
This means, recreating certain actions, repeating them over and over, increasing the difficulty as you go, and honing in on your weaknesses and fixing problems as they appear.
Example,
For Agility training, you would want to create an obstacle course, including important movements such as ducking, crawling, leaping, climbing, swimming, sprinting, rolling, etc. Parkour would be an excellent start for agility training. If you are able to navigate complex environments at great speed and without error, you need to continue increasing the difficult within all measures of safety.
IE: You run out the back door of your house, while wearing a backpack full of misc non-breakable items) you then run through a neighborhood, vaulting objects, crawling under fences, etc. Your goal is to make the course as difficult as possible, and mentally imagine anything that could be thrown at you. Imagine that you are running to evade a pursuing entity, and your life depends on it.
All of the above mentioned skills simply require constant repetition and attention to detail. As long as you focus, practice, and practice some more, you will make yourself better and better at each thing.
This particular topic of survivalism can become so complex that it would take not one, but several books, to encompass the details of every type of training required to achieve your goals.
