Yeah I have a question. I haven't lifted in over a year, I'm 17.
Right now I weigh 180 pounds, I weighed 185 a little less than 2 weeks ago, before I decided to lose weight.
I'm on my own self-made weight loss program where I intake about 1700 calories a day and do cardio when I can.
I calculated that I will be at my desired weight (160) by August 15, in which after that I plan on starting lifting religiously and doing a clean bulk.
Pretty much my question is should I not lift until I'm at my goal weight of 160 or should I lift the whole time during my diet?
I'm not sure because I don't think I would gain that much eating only about 1700 calories a day. What do you think?

Im not a professional or know a whole lot about lifting but from what I have heard on Dr. Oz :P is that lifting weights is better than cardio for losing waist size (fat).

Can someone confirm this? If its true I think lifting some weight would maintain muscle and help you lose weight.

Is my logic right guys?

Losing body fat% is msotly on diet.

Not sure whether or not lifting is better, but i've always done workouts combining them with hiit

I'm unsure as to your question...you have given me a LOT of background...but certainly no question has been asked. please let me know exactly what you'd like me to answer for you. Do you want to know what supps to take? what weightless workout to follow? something else?

A weightless workout would be great, had posterior labrum surgery a little bit ago so trying to stay away from things like benching. As for cardio, just going to do HIIT
Just going to try and lean out, so supplements for this would be wonderful too

I had a few questions regarding "bulking" up.

Currently, I am 20 years old 6'5 and a pathetic 140 lbs :(

One and a half months ago, I started on a creatine/weight gainer lifting regiment, lifting 5 times a week (1 hour a day with 10 minutes of cardio) and 2 days off. During that time, I had some depressing life issues and lost a few pounds. However, I am back up to my normal 140 and I think im gaining weight.

It is my goal to gain 10-20 pounds in a year (does that seem feasible with my body type?)

My current lifting routine consists of (all lifts are done to max aka I am dead tired and can't do another lift):

Bicep Curls
Tricep (dumbells, bend over and extend arms out)
Dumbell raises (dumbells at my side, raise up into my armpits)
Seated bench (back perpendicular to legs)
Seated bench with arms behind my head/neck
Normal Bench
Forearm raises (1 set with top of hands on top and 1 set with top of hands facing down)
Should shrugs forward and backwars (2 sets)

In the month and a half or so, I am seeing visible results. For my body type, I am actually extremely buff, just small muscles. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a better workout regiment/nutritional information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dig through this thread for a bulking routine

and to answer your quesion, yes you canexpect great gains, just persist and eat in a caloric surplus of around 500 calories a day
you will gain some fat, but with caloric spillovr, muscle gains will be maximized
