I'm re-watching this show with my fiancee and learning so much new shit as I go along.

I thought I understood it (somewhat) before the first time around, but watching it out of the blue like i did (having never read the book) i really didn't get shit.

I'm trying to explain to her the family tree for everyone without giving away spoilers and it's hard as fuck lmao. Google has been very helpful.

same thing happened to me my 2nd time through. Then i read the books, rewatched a 3rd time and noticed SO much more since I knew what to look for.

The amount of depth in this show is actually insane. There's so much meaning jampacked into the dialogue that even "casual fans" of the show don't appreciate. Actually knowing the characters' names and relationships helps so much lol.

That'd be pretty dope. I bet there's somewhere online that takes wagers on the outcomes of shows, there has to be.

I know that this was a thing during the first season of Survivor (it was a massive hit then)

Ironic that bets were accepted even though the episodes had already been recorded

Seems to be a popular one being thrown around, but more likely than anything, the Knights Watch is disbanded and the two nations are joined as one. They don't even have a way of rebuilding the wall and if the great enemy has been destroyed, the wall has served its purpose. Seems like most people forget that when hoping for a *happy* ending for Jamie.

I guess you make fair points, though i don't think the great enemy will be truely defeated.

Him going to the watch wouldnt exactly be a happy ending either, it would just be an honorable one..

We know Martin has described the ending as being bitter sweet so i cant see it being all sunshine and rainbows.. (the baddies all die and the goodies finally win the gane of thrones). We'll be left wanting more, it'll be over without full closure.
