Oh hi guys. Had a little time over this long weekend and thought I'd throw one of these together. Still been keeping up with errythang draft related, just not doing these because without JSP, don't really have a reason to. :)

Hope all is well with you all. Hugs and Kisses!

Draft order taken from here http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftorder2017.php so don’t bitch.

Also, numbering didn't carry over from google docs, idk why but oh well.

Round 1

Cleveland Browns (0-11) - Myles Garrett, DE/OLB, Texas A&M
I believe the Browns will go with the BPA and not reach for a QB here in the first. They may even trade down again with a team who does want to be here to get a QB. There’s a lot of QB talent in this draft and a lot of it will likely fall so I see the Browns staying put and taking the best player in the draft or moving down.

San Francisco 49ers (1-9) - DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
This pick comes down to three players for the Niners, Garrett if whoever ends up at #1 takes a QB, whichever QB they like the most or Fournette. I think Fournette is the least likely because Hyde has shown he can be the guy at RB for a team. Kizer and Trubisky are pulling away as the top two QBs in this class and the consensus seems to be in favor of Kizer so here he is.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) - Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Could easily see the Jags going with Allen here to sure up their DL but Fournette is too good to pass on. Many believe he is the #1 player in the draft so much like last year the Jags will sit and get a top tier talent. Fournette will bring security to a shaky backfield and provide a new element to the Jaguars offense taking a lot of pressure off of Bortles. Hakoplzbegentle

Chicago Bears (2-8) - Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
Cutler is all but gone in Chicago so a QB of the future will be needed. With that said, unless Kizer is here I can completely see the Bears going elsewhere here and maybe grabbing a QB later on in the draft and rolling with Hoyer for a season if need be or making a push for Romo or a different veteran QB. But I like Trubisky so let’s put him here.

New York Jets (3-7) - Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Jets have to find a replacement for Revis who is regressing rapidly. Humphrey has established himself as the top corner in this draft.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-6-1) - Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
There is a lot of secondary talent in this draft and there are a lot of very solid first rounders so the Bengals will need to grab whichever one they view as the best. I have Humphrey as the top corner and Hooker as the top safety, there can be arguments made for others but these are my top 2 and I think the Bengals will be happy with either.

Carolina Panthers (4-6) - Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
The Panthers tackles are fucking awful and must be upgraded in the 2016 draft. Oh wait, this is 2017. OK the Panthers tackles are STILL fucking awful and must be upgraded in the 2017 draft…..

Tennessee Titans from Los Angeles (4-6) - Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
Bengals and Titans are in the same boat, take the BPA to improve the secondary.

Green Bay Packers (4-6) - Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama
Allen doesn’t necessarily fill a massive need for the Packers here but he is just simply too good of a talent to pass on and the Packers are a smart team and smart teams tend to take top talent when it falls to them.

New Orleans Saints (4-6) - Jabrill Peppers, S/CB/LB, Michigan
It’s a good thing there is so much secondary talent this year because it seems like every team is incredibly needy in that area.

San Diego Chargers (4-6) - Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State
Everyone, myself included, was ripping on the Chargers for taking Bosa last year and then dicking him around in the preseason but we’re all eating crow now because Bosa is tearing shit up for them so they continue to build up that defensive line here.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5-1) - Zach Cunningham, ILB, Vanderbilt
Minter was supposed to be a stud but has been average at best thus far and likely won’t be resigned so someone to pair with Bucannon will be needed. Cunningham is the best LB prospect in the draft so should be an easy pick.

Tennessee Titans (5-6) - Jamal Adams, S, LSU
Tennessee double dips in the secondary in the first round here, they almost have to with how horrible their secondary has been and it’s not like the talent isn’t there and they’re reaching for position so good picks.

Indianapolis Colts (5-5) - Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
I really want to slot Dalvin Cook to the Colts here but as recent history has shown you can find elite RBs later in the draft while top tier tackles don’t show up as often. That said, for a long while Robinson was consider the without a doubt can’t miss LT prospect of this draft. He has fallen from that consensus in recent weeks/months and there’s a lot of debate over how good he is in the NFL, with the view on him being anywhere from an elite LT to an average RT lol. Regardless, the Colts HAVE to protect Luck better and while a good run game can do that, a franchise tackle, left or right, will help both Luck and whoever is running the ball.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) - Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
Bucs can snatch up almost anything on the defensive side of the ball and be making a good selection here. With safeties being a bit thin now (and Jackson probably being too small to play the spot and King being a lesser talent to Barnett) taking another edge rusher to pair with Spence is a smart move. Plus Barnett is the BPA at this point so solid all around move.

Buffalo Bills (5-5) - Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
With how poorly Gilmore has played this year and him set to be a free agent this summer the Bills could possibly draft his replacement early on in this talented corner heavy draft and let Gilmore walk.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) - Adoree’ Jackson, CB, USC
Steelers continue to build up their secondary with the best corner on the board.

Cleveland Browns from Philadelphia (5-5) - Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
Browns again opt for talent over need. No QB worthy of the pick, they could go with a corner or receiver but some believe Cook is a top 5 talent in this draft so to snatch him up at 18 and bring stability to the running back position in Cleveland is a no brainer. It will only help whoever they end up having play corner if they have a legitimate run threat in the backfield.

Miami Dolphins (6-4) - Charles Harris, DE, Missouri
They couldn’t pay Vernon and lost him this past offseason so here’s a new understudy for Wake and Williams to mold and eventually replace them because both of them are on the last legs of their careers.

Philadelphia Eagles from Minnesota (6-4) - Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
Agholor sucks, DGB isn’t much better and Matthews is pretty alright. Get your young franchise QB some fucking weapons!

Baltimore Ravens (5-5) - Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB, Illinois
Similar to Miami, here is a young pass rusher to eventually pair with Correa and replace the Ravens great veterans at the position.

Detroit Lions (6-4) - Tim Williams, LB, Alabama
LB is probably the weakest position on the Lions’ roster so here we go.

Atlanta Falcons (6-4) - Desmond King, CB/S, Iowa
Rather than reaching for a less talented pass rusher here the Falcons address their other need and grab a safety to pair with Neal. King and Neal would create an incredibly talented duo at safety for the Falcons that will compliment each other very well.

Houston Texans (6-4) - Quenton Nelson, G, Notre Dame
The Texans somehow are winning games with Brock under center but their guard play is shit. Look a guard!

Washington Redskins (6-3-1) - Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
Rookie Kendall Fuller has yet to impress and Breeland has been OK so the Skins could look to grab another early corner for insurance and at worst you need to have at least 3 corners in today’s NFL and can never really have too many haha.

New York Giants (7-3) - Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
Their linebackers suck, here’s a good linebacker to draft. Much wow, many goods, etc.

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) - Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
This may seem like an odd one but if the Chiefs don’t make a strong push into the postseason with Alex Smith this year, they might be ready to move on from him. Watson was a consensus top QB prospect in this draft class for a long time but has fallen out of favor with teams lately for good reason. Reid has worked some wonders with QBs in the past so he might be willing to take the chance here and possibly get a steal late in the first round.

Denver Broncos (7-3) - O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
Howard was mocked to Denver a lot last year before he said he was going back to school and nothing has changed. Denver still needs a replacement for Julius Thomas and Howard is still the best TE prospect in last year’s class and this year’s too.

Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1) - Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
Seattle’s offensive line is fucking awful. It’s been getting better as the season goes on but it’s still pretty damn bad. With few needs elsewhere they can afford to draft for need. If not here then interior defensive line will be the pick here.

New England Patriots (8-2) - Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois
They traded away Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins, the position is weak right now and must be addressed early on in the 2017 draft.

Oakland Raiders (8-2) - Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford
There’s a good chance that McCaffrey doesn’t last this long but if he does I think the Raiders will jump at the chance to add him to their backfield. Murray has been playing better as of late but hasn’t lived up to the expectations set for him at the start of the season and Washington has been average. Their third RB I forgot the name of has been OK as well but no one has really proven to be the guy outside of Murray in a few moments and I believe 1 full game. Adding a dynamic player like McCaffrey to an already pretty potent offense would make the Raiders even more scary than they already are.

Dallas Cowboys (9-1) - Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida
An edge rusher would be more desirable for the Boys here but there isn’t one available worth taking. They could use some help on the inside of the DL anyway and Brantley could have been selected 10-15 picks earlier than this so the value is great.

Round 2

Cleveland Browns (0-11) - Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
The Browns continue to add talent over need. Obviously they have a ton of needs and are filling these needs but rather than over drafting a QB they are loading their roster with young talent with all of these picks.

San Francisco 49ers (1-9) - Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
Teams usually pair their rookie QB with a rookie receiver to grow with and that’s exactly what the Niners are doing here.

Chicago Bears (2-8) - Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
Like the Niners the Bears are giving their rookie QB a rookie WR to grow with. Hopefully they can get Kevin White healthy too and not worry about losing Alshon this offseason which is most likely going to happen.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) - Marcus Maye, S, Florida
Maye is versatile and talented and will be an upgrade for the Jaguars over the disappointing Cyprien (who I still really really want to be as successful and I hoped he would be. :( )

New York Jets (3-7) - Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Forte has been surprisingly good for the Jets but he’s not a long term answer for them so here’s a running back for the future.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-6-1) - Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
Like their secondary, their pass rush could use some help too.

Los Angeles Rams (4-6) - JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
The Rams have a million needs and no picks, I hope Goff was worth it lol. This should really be OL but there just isn’t much talented OL in this draft. So they opt for the big bodied possession receiver here to pair with Tavon Austin and give Goff a fighting chance to have a receiver who can actually catch a pass.

Green Bay Packers (4-6) - Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
Some may say why haven’t the Packers taken a corner or LB? Well they have some talented guys at those positions they’re just all injured right now and unless Michael works out, they need a RB. There’s a good chance that the Pack lets Lacy walk after this season so a young RB will be needed and Chubb is very talented.

New Orleans Saints (4-6) - Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE/OLB, Villanova
Saints continue to bolster one of the worst defenses in the league.

San Diego Chargers (4-6) - Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
A more proper replacement for Weddle.

Carolina Panthers (4-6) - Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
I’d be OK with the Panthers going back to back tackles here but Conley is a very good talent that’d be tough to pass on for them since they’re missing Norman so much.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5-1) - Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
Cardinals need a #2 across from Peterson so why not go to the LSU pool yet again for the secondary?

Cleveland Browns from Tennessee (5-6) - Conor McDermott, OT, UCLA
Still no QB they like so just piling up talent and filling out their roster.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) - Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
ASJ was a bust and Brate is OK, here’s a young TE who can make a bit more of a difference for the Bucs.

Buffalo Bills (5-5) - John Ross, WR, Washington
Bills can’t keep their receivers on the field so here’s some talent and depth.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) - Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
Steelers seem pretty weak up the middle.

Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) - Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
McKelvin sucks and they gave up and traded away Rowe so some help at corner is needed.

Indianapolis Colts (5-5) - Cam Sutton, CB, Tennessee
The Colts would be wise to add multiple corners in this offseason.

Minnesota Vikings (6-4) - Wayne Gallman, RB, Clemson
Even if AP does come back, he’s on the final chapter of his career and no one else on the roster is really worth starting. Gallman would come in immediately and beat out anyone else on the Vikings roster for the starting spot (aside from AP) and really help Sam Bradford out. If the Vikes don’t go with a back here then I expect OLine for obvious reasons but there really isn’t any OL worth this selection and Gallman is very talented so it’s a good fit.

Miami Dolphins (6-4) - Curtis Samuel, WR/RB, Ohio State
Here is a great compliment to Mike Evans for Jameis Winston. Many compare Samuel to Percy Harvin so as long as he isn’t a fucking head case like Percy and made of glass, this would give the Buccs a great 1-2 punch at receiver for many years to come.

Baltimore Ravens (5-5) - Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU
Even if Perriman comes on the Ravens will need to add another receiver for the day SS89 retires.

Atlanta Falcons (6-4) - Demarcus Walker, DE/OLB, Florida State
It was expected for Atlanta to address their pass rush last offseason and they did not so here they go adding more talent to the unit.

Houston Texans (6-4) - Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
Cushing is a liability at times so here’s a young successor.

Detroit Lions (6-4) - Jarron Jones, DT, Notre Dame
An actual replacement for Suh.

Washington Redskins (6-3-1) - Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU
Skins need to upgrade the interior of their line and Pocic can play all 3 positions.

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) - Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
Losing Sean Smith has hurt the Chiefs so here’s a talented young corner to throw across from Peters.

Denver Broncos (7-3) - Chris Wormley, DT, Michigan
Broncos have a fierce front 7 but the interior of their DL is a bit weak.

New York Giants (7-3) - Ryan Anderson, DE/OLB, Alabama
They spent all that money on the defense and it still needs help. They might lose JPP this offseason but even if they don’t, depth is needed at the position.

Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1) - Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
Seattle still has one of the best defenses in the league but the interior of their DL has needed some help for a couple of years now so they finally address the position here.

New England Patriots (8-2) - Dion Dawkins, OT/G, Temple
The Patriots need help up and down their OL and Billy B loves versatile players like Dawkins.

Oakland Raiders (8-2) - Davon Godchaux, DT, LSU
Raiders are looking much improved this year but the interior of their defensive line has been a liability.

Dallas Cowboys (9-1) - Isaiah Ford, WR, Virginia Tech
Dez is there and Beasley is a great specialty option but they need a true #2 to go with Dez and continue to allow Dak to grow.

Round 3

Cleveland Browns (0-11) - Davis Webb, QB, California
The Browns finally grab a QB in this draft. I don’t believe they’ll actually wait this long (plus Webb likely won’t be available this late) but regardless, they address a lot of needs with a lot of talent and still get a QB who could possibly pan out. Webb will need help transitioning to the NFL but if the Browns keep Jackson around, he could work wonders with him.

San Francisco 49ers (1-9) - Marquis Haynes, DE/OLB, Ole Miss
Garrett has to be #1 on the Niners board this year, not just because he’s the best player in the draft but because he fills one of their biggest needs. If they can’t get him at #2 then they’ll likely grab a day 2 pass rusher like they are here.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) - Charles Walker, DT, Oklahoma
Jags need to sure up a few spots on the DL and could easily have taken Jonathan Allen in round 1.

Chicago Bears (2-8) - Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
New franchise QB in round 1, weapon for that QB in round 2, protection for that QB in round 3. The interior of their OL is one of the best in the league but their tackles suck and must be upgraded especially if they’ll have a rookie under center.

New York Jets (3-7) - Pat Mahomes II, QB, Texas Tech
Jets go for the hopeful franchise QB here. Mahomes stock has been going u slowly all year so the Jets might see something in him if they can’t land Tony Romo or Jay Cutler.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-6-1) - Kendell Beckwith, LB, LSU
Who knows when Burfict will be suspended again, even if he stops being a total dickhead, depth is needed and Beckwith has solid value at this point in the draft.

Green Bay Packers (4-6) - Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
The Packers have missed having a reliable TE in their offense. Cook is a solid band aid for the position but a young talent like Butt could make the difference for their offense.

New Orleans Saints (4-6) - Anthony Walker, LB, Northwestern
Laurinaitis sucks, time for him to hang up the cleats.

San Diego Chargers (4-6) - Travin Dural, WR, LSU
Keenan Allen is so injury prone it’s going to be difficult for the Chargers to rely on him so depth is needed.

Carolina Panthers (4-6) - Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
If I was a Panthers’ fan I would be ecstatic to get 2 new OTs on our line.

Tennessee Titans from Los Angeles (4-6) - Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
Walker is getting up there in age so a successor will be needed soon.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5-1) - Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
Carson Palmer is done, he just can’t do it anymore so a QB is a must add in the off season for the Cards. Even if they add a vet like Romo or Cutler to make a final push with Fitz (if he doesn’t retire) a young guy is a must add.

Tennessee Titans (5-6) - Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington
Continue to add as many weapons to make Mariota as successful as possible.

Buffalo Bills (5-5) - Armani Watts, S, Texas A&M
Unfortunately Aaron Williams career might be over so a replacement will desperately be needed.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) - Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
Bell is obviously a stud but who knows how long he’ll be able to resist Mary Jane this time and DWill is aging, depth will be a smart move.

Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) - Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson
Ertz continues to have all the hype in the world and let everyone down. Might be time to move on.

Indianapolis Colts (5-5) - Devonte Fields, DE, Louisville
Colts DL is trash, multiple upgrades will be needed.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) - Quin Blanding, S, Virginia
Tampa’s secondary is one of the worst in the league.

Minnesota Vikings from Miami (6-4) - Dan Skipper, OT, Arkansas
Vikings have put up one hell of an effort this season but their tackle situation is making it difficult for them to have sustained success.

Minnesota Vikings (6-4) - Travis Randolph, WR, Florida State
Outside of Diggs the Vikings don’t have much at receiver and their rookie frist rounder from last year has done nothing thus far so depth at the position will be needed.

Baltimore Ravens (5-5) - Johnathan Ford, S, Auburn
Plzterps, no kill me.

Houston Texans (6-4) - Fish Smithson, S, Kansas
Texans safety situation sucks. Dontbemadedraino

Detroit Lions (6-4) - Des Lawrence, CB, North Carolina
Lions continue to beef up the secondary so that their offense doesn’t have to win games after trailing in every single 4th quarter.

Atlanta Falcons (6-4) - Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Depth and a possible replacement for Babineaux.

Washington Redskins(6-3-1) - Kai Nacua, S, BYU
As I said their secondary blows and needs multiple upgrades.

Denver Broncos (7-3) - T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
Their run D has been an issue and the loss of Trevathan is a major reason for that.

New York Giants (7-3) - David Sharpe, OT/G, Florida
Depth is needed on that OL and Sharpe can play almost any position along it.

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) - Ejuan Price, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh
At some point Hali will hang up the cleats so the Chiefs will need someone to step in next to Dee Ford.

Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1) - Pat Elflien, C/G, Ohio State
Seahawks continue to address their weakest link, the offensive line.

New England Patriots (8-2) - Josh Carraway, DE/OLB, TCU
Patriots double dip at the position that they’ve traded away their top talents from.

Oakland Raiders (8-2) - Deatrich Wise Jr., DE/OLB, Arkansas
With Aldon Smith being an idiot, some security at the position is needed.

Dallas Cowboys (9-1) - Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C. State
Since they can’t rely on Gregory or Lawrence the Cowboys draft a little extra security to their pass rushing unit.

You would think. We can draft DL, but not secondary players. Our best secondary player we drafted probably has been Calvin Pryor and he can't cover to save his life, just a good tackler.

I doubt JuJu falls to us in the second round, but I'll stay optimistic

Nice draft for Packers. I think Allen to Jags is more likely in that situation. And then I'd love to say Packers would take Fournette, but I can count the number of times Ted has drafted the guy I wanted on... zero fingers. I think I'd rather have Peppers over Allen also, but I don't think either will be available.

Also, good job, Randy. I always enjoy your draft related threads.

Rabble rabble player x is too low, rabble player y is too high rabble, I'd rather have player y at our pick, you're dumb for having us pass on him etc.

Would love Dupree rd. 2 but I doubt he falls that far. Perriman seems to be a bust tbh. We won't know for sure until next season, since he's never participated in a training camp, but if you're good, that shouldn't matter. He has stupid retard hands and doesn't separate despite 4.2 speed. Couple that with SS89 retiring and we need 1 or 2 WRs to go with Wallace, who will probably be extended for too much monies.

Also I thought Smoot was more of a DE. I can't remember, and don't feel like checking.

Actually, I just realized you had one of my draft-crushes Tim Williams going directly after our first round pick, so queue the "I want player y" comment lol. He's pure pass-rush, and that's something our defense doesn't have right now.
