I use only Heavy Weapons, and Longswords are, and definitely my preference... and I am comparing my OWN game-play comparison when using a Battle-Axe... yup, consistency is nice, but the Longsword out damages the the Battle-Axe with same EE / Tier / Prof Rank... and I knew this way before the "Damage Calculator" proved my theory correct.

Sorry bud, but I use EVERY heavy weapon (basically every type of weapon) and MY STAT placement makes EVERYONE of them universally perfect WHEN solo'ing (I change tactics for group runs).

Just for fun, i put the current stats i have right now on my sammy into this calculator. Below are my findings. I used the exact same numbers on everything, i only changed the weapon type and swapped to STR for swords.









So, the NUMBERS make it look like the swords out dmg the axes, and daggers cream both of them. Even with my low EE on my dagger. But, put these setups in a group, same amount of actions/skill use, and id be willing to bet the axes will out do the swords. Everytime i use axes, i personally notice how often they crit compared to anything else.

The first 2 images has 210 Dexterity, and the 3rd image has 210 Strength... I think you need to revisit your SHIT before posting... and I have already have consumed 1 Litre of 40% Scotch Whisky,

EDIT:

3rd image 210 Str vs Axe with 46 Strength. Get real for fuck sake and have the same stat placement of sword vs axe using Str as primary.

Oh... if you want to compare dagger with a 10/90 ratio... remember you compare it with Club n Axe... not a sword. FFS.

I posted for all 3. Just to show the differences in the 3. Swords fucking suck. The only people who dont believe that, are you and Dom. And dom has like a 40000000000EE mq sword.


Clubs suck too. I compared the 3 main melee weapons. Dagger, Axe, and Sword.

Now... you fucked up and tried to prove a point that was NOT RELEVANT at all.


"Swords B4 Axes" is in the Title.

Now, I mentioned Staff (25/75) ratio BECAUSE it is the REVERSE of using a SWORD, and if you had TESTED your so called stat scenario for STAFF vs AXE... you would have a better surprise, BUT no, you had to use a 10/90 ratio which is NOT a 25/75 or 75/25 ratio to prove to yourself, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about when it comes to the topic at hand... Swords and Sfaves are better than the consistent damage using an axe.

My swords are much better than my axes until lvl 40. And yet the speed in which I solo drops drastically. That alone tells me swords are trash in comparison. No other tests needed.

What brand of scotch whiskey are you drinking?

E: I've always been a fan of my swords since I never get to HH anyway and can use em on most classes :D but I like daggers/axes from 0-27 for better dmg/consistent dmg
