Cop said "put your hands up, show me your hands...", then fired his gun.

One shot, in the dark, at a place that LOOKED, in the vid in the article in the OP, like a break in might have occurred.



/e Personally, I think that anyone of you, in the same situation would have fired your gun.


/ee And... caller said "neighbor is usually home, but never has doors open".


/eee Might turn out that the caller was trying to set up the cop, or the neighbor, just as easily.

2:30am in the dark, cop says put your hands up and sees a gun. Maybe some of you folks need to think about things from the cops viewpoint. Only takes one bullet in the head to end a cops life, and/or career. And they go on these calls all day every day.

Being a cop is dangerous, nobody is disputing that, but that doesn't make them judge jury and executioner. This cop acted like a damn fool and killed somebody as a result. Their actions in the moment are irrelevant because that situation was totally avoidable.

Well then maybe you can explain to all of us, just how that "situation was totally unavoidable"... being as how you WEREN'T there.

Probably by following protocol instead of sneaking around outside the house and opening fire on the first person they saw. Theres a reason police announce themselves, its for everybodys safety including their own.

You would stand out there and announce yourself at 2:30am in the dark at a house with open doors, that the caller said... the owners never left their doors open?

You wouldn't last very long as a cop... hope you have a great life insurance policy.
