i think there's a duality to the term. progressives use it like that, and so do conservatives. but both groups also use it situationally to mean "daily smoker" or "smokes all the time". Conservatives for sure us it more that way, and try to weaponize it. Progressives seem to use it almost endearingly, like when someone says you should chill on a blunt because it's good shit and you say back through squinted eyes, "don't worry i'm a real stoner" then laugh stonily.

to my friends i'm a big stoner, to my family i'm a respectable adult. they're not pro-pot and therefore don't know how much i'm laughing when they talk about "stoners" at the dinner table.

Don't you just smoke in the evenings/nights? That doesn't really qualify as stoner.

I don't consider myself a problematic stoner, but having said that I haven't missed a day in years. A few vacations and a short trip to florida is about it in i'd guess 8 years. in that 8 years of 2920 days i'd be surprised if i missed 20.

college was the last time i went no pot. then after a month long spiral down the cheap beer route, and waking up on a week day 2 hours late for class with a tower of 15 Reddog cans I didnt set out to drink I decided I might just be a pot smoker for life. the dreams after coming off pot were intense tho, don't look forward to that if i ever have to quit for some reason.

Increased paranoia experiences in Canada going to increase for a short time probably lol.
