yes but you're only accounting for product introduction marketing, brand differentiation marketing is as important. tobacco is a good model there. goliath companies all clawing for market share, and for every 1 smoker i know that had 1 brand and type of cigarette i know 3-4 that moved around from camel, to Marlboro, etc.

namebrand weed brands are sure to emerge in the next decade or so, especially as legal pot struggles with quality control. the entire sector is new, but testing for quality control is even newer.
