If this item is copied from your market place you will get your numbers from:

base 20-24 heal

20*0.95*1.13= 21.47 --> 21
24*0.95*1.13= 25.764 --> 25

--> foc heal shows 21-25

If you put that charm on a char with lets say 60int i would have to calculate:
20*1.55*1.13 and
24*1.55*1.13 to get the result.

60int is the actual int on that char.. keep in mind that if you put the charm in first slot and get the +5int bonus to have 65int you need to change 1.55 to 1.60

Point proven, thanks... so a newbie copy paste that information and asks for the healing capacity using a character with 60 intelligence. Now because it was not stated that it was copied from Profile MP or just a Trade thread, you would HAVE to refer to the portal information FIRST, otherwise the formula you use would not work.

ok ok. You won. Cant beat the nonsense street smartness :rolleyes:
I ALWAYS REFER TO THE PORTAL INFORMATION as that is the base stat. Other than that you have to use a certain info or no formula will work on anything.
Plz dont answer as i am done with this big wall of nonsense. i wont reply anymore to this topic.

:rofl: It wasn't a debate who is correct or not during the last 30 odd posts (3 pages).

I am trying to get clarification to which number is CORRECT when PLAYING Ladder Slasher.
1. Portal using 0.95 formula from STATS.
2. Using 0.95 from BASE information formula displayed in Profile Marketplace.

The BASE information shown in portal is like looking at an item displayed on a mannequin, so, if you buy that item and sell it on the Marketplace and people view it from your profile, it SHOULD show the exact same BASE information as in portal regardless.

There is only one piece of coding information that disputes my debate, and it is the Market Fee, if this is the case, then it is just a minor fix.

EDIT: it does not account for the -5 stat though.

the numbers in portal are correct, any other numbers use these as base to calculate the shown value

you are just arguing in an endless way because you have no clue at all, Rex.
Just leave it at this point. Alex has proven multiple times he is right and he studied math, so he should know how to calculate

Paul could fix the values shown in market to be the same as in the portal, but who checks these values anyway?

Guessing this is one formula to work out items that have been capped:

Angelic lightning II
Spell Damage: 3 to 32
Mana Cost: 13
+57% Enhanced Effect
+35 Intelligence
+2 Life Regen
+1% Damage Return

Angelic lightning II
Spell Damage: 2 to 20 [Base]
Mana Cost: 13
((2 x 1.3) x 1.57) = 4.082 / 5 x 4 = 3.2656
((20 x 1.3) x 1.57 )- 40.82 / 5 x 4 = 32.656

No thats nonsense.

It works, why is it nonsense when it gives the same result? Same as either adding or subtracting 12.5% from a total. Adding 12.5% [divide total by 8, then multiply by 9] / Subtracting 12.5% [divide total by 9, then multiply by 8]

The Lightning I posted shows the damage of 3 to 32 from a persons Trade thread, it reflects that 20% cap has been included, otherwise it would show 4 to 40 damage minimum.

First of all you calculate like 3rd grade.. 1+2=3+2=5+1=6.....

2nd we dont know the info about the copied charm. "from a persons Trade thread" on which char is it? how much int is on that char?

3rd: the cap for tier2 is 40ee +20ee = 60ee (20ee over perfect)

2*1.57* (factor for int)
20*1.57* (factor for int) would give the right result.

I know that it cant be from the market place, or the calculation would lead to 2.9xxx --> 2 minimum dmg
i also know that 32int or more would lead to 4 minimum dmg.

So the char must have between 5 and 31 int (ends included)

just stop posting your wrong formulas and try to confuse people

OMG, I used what you said, use Portal information, used your formula with item information shown, the results were 4 to 40 damage, BUT, the item showed 3 to 32 damage.
Now with that information showing (and NOT needing the character stat information or Rank), it meant it had reached its' CAP damage. Thus I use basic maths to identify the 20% cap.

I did not need to know the information from the character it was on, neither do you, it is all there on the charm. It won't do anymore damage than 3 to 32.

You still have no clue. Let me use the charm on my 300int warlock and i will show you that it will do more dmg. Just stop talking if you are clueless.. you have convinced everybody now that you are ^^
