Enjoyed the show, went in knowing nothing about the Witcher but afterwards I was inspired to catch up with the books and the first 2 games.
Currently playing through the 3rd game.

There is def a lot of potential for this to continue into multiple seasons and although I thought some parts/ lines in the show were kinda cheesy (i was literally finishing their sentences in my head), Cavill is awesome for this role.
Looking forward to season 2

*Edit: When I have time I will rewatch season 1 probably because the first several episodes were kinda hard to follow

As someone who hasn’t played any of the Witcher games, is the show worth a watch without getting lost?

i didn't have any knowledge of the franchise beforehand and i enjoyed it

that being said, the non-chronological storytelling method is intended to leave viewers unsure of what is going on

if you find yourself confused after 4 episodes, don't worry about it. It will all make sense in the final episode. Leaving viewer in the darkt is something that is done to heighten the effectiveness of the later reveals.

Im currently at episode 2. After the first episode, i was thinking the show was gonna be about the princess and Geralt finding one another and Geralt saving the day blahblah. But on the 2nd episode when Yennefer shows up, i got confused haha

Not really. I had only played a little of the third one and found it enjoyable enough.

The 3rd game and it's DLC's are fantastic. I very much enjoyed my time playing the game, and actually have started a second play through. The open world is huge, and plenty of quests/missions/dialogue to go with it. Combat is decent enough, but not perfect.

The show and the games are not related right now. You don't have to have read any of the books, or played the games to understand the show. It'll certainly help with understanding though. I still found myself lost a few times and i've been into the Witcher for a few years now - read the books, etc.
