The 3rd game and it's DLC's are fantastic. I very much enjoyed my time playing the game, and actually have started a second play through. The open world is huge, and plenty of quests/missions/dialogue to go with it. Combat is decent enough, but not perfect.

The show and the games are not related right now. You don't have to have read any of the books, or played the games to understand the show. It'll certainly help with understanding though. I still found myself lost a few times and i've been into the Witcher for a few years now - read the books, etc.

Yeah i watched like 3 episodes thinking wtf is going on.

then watched a Cavill interview where he said it's been heavily modified to bring characters together ahead of schedule, which makes sense.

i really enjoyed the season

I thought it was great. I'm hoping Netflix gives a big boost to the production budget after it's popularity was revealed. I know they're working on S2 and i believe they already agreed to S3 which is great news.

The best thing i did was watch a Episode XXX explained video for each one on youtube. Helped clear everything up nicely and explained things i missed.

It had some cheesy moments, and some stupid moments (Yennifer fighting with sword/dagger - although she has no training and is a mage) but i was overall really pleased.

Cavill exceeded my expectations immensely. I was a little hesitant when they cast him as Geralt, i just didn't see him being good in the role..... boy was I mistaken. He's forever Geralt now.

i was worried about spoilers, so i watched the full season, watched easter egg videos to see what i missed, then watched it again. i missed a LOT, so rewatches are very rewarding.

It was pretty good, like a 7/10

Didn't like the scenes with the Sorceresses in Aretuza. Istredd and Yen scenes didn't work at all.

Yen casting was annoying at first cos in the games she is a 10/10 but the actress grew on me.

Henry Cavill as Geralt is great and the main plus of the show. He even gets the grunts and mannerisms bob on.

Looking forward to Season 2 a lot though, guessing Geralt will take Ciri to Kaer Morhen.

The show will never touch on the games, the games are set after the books. The show is based on the books.

heard from a friend who played the game and he said the show was well made. the voice, the actor and everything. he said the only issue was that Geralt was carrying 1 sword behind his back instead of 2 like in the game

That's not an opinion, that's a fact.
