Fk, I feel like I just bought a 1300$ potato.

I think you could have done worse considering a 3060 seems to go for $750+ in the US, if you can even find one. Especially if you're mostly concerned about gaming, it's a substantial upgrade coming from a 580.
Yeah it sucks getting a generation-old CPU but the 3600 is still capable and again it's a huge upgrade over a 2500k (I was in a similar situation, retired my 3570k last year).
Could probably have spent your money a bit more wisely but not a huge deal and not worth getting buyer's remorse over it in my opinion.
The only thing I'd be concerned about is airflow/thermals/noise in that case.

you can make it work for you, I don't know the price here or anything but is returning it an option? that thing might end up running things better initially with the GPU, but the 5600x would give you more flexibility in the future. don't panic, it's just that it may be better to take more time to figure it out if the expectations were the same between those two systems. would you upgrade the 580 soon? that plays a part in this.. if your plan is to not spend any more money on computers and you just want better bioshock FPS then the 3060 will probably do you better than the 5600x will.

Everything seems to work great. Are there any tools you would recommend installing to text everything to make sure?

IMO right off the hop you should see if windows 11 is for you. if it isn't, you can flash back to windows 10 while you don't have much data on your drives.
hard to say without seeing your programs etc, but generally speaking when i buy prebuilts (laptops), the first thing i do is flash a clean OS on it so it removes all the bloatware that these companies install on your pc from factory (i.e mcafee trials, say.. ibuypower driver update system... etc).

Okay, that sounds like a good idea. I did put d2 on here already, but there is some built in programs that bring me right to ibuypowers site.
Also, I keep seeing the nvidia button in the system tray, but it does nothing when I double click it.
Ive noticed that the driver version is a bit older than the new one.

Idk anything about how to "flash" anything. Any suggestions going forward?

usually with prebuilts the key is saved in the motherboard for windows, so you could probably just download windows installer from their site, rip it to a usb, launch your usb from bios (depends on manufacturer, usually its f7 or you go into bios and change boot order to USB primary), delete partitions in installer, run through installer and voila

nvidia icon is most likely the app settings for windows, idk much about windows 11 though so maybe incompatible or something

Idk how to rip windows to a usb stick.

Also, when reinstalling, show I delete even the system partition on the drive? I figured the windows key was somewhere in there. I don't want to mess anything up, I'm very prone to everything going wrong in the worst way.

I'm surprised this is actually working so nice right now, lol.

if you're that paranoid/inexperienced you might be better off going through your programs 1 by 1 and deleting anything that you don't recognize or right off the hop is recognizable as bloatware as mentioned above

The cheapest upgrades would’ve been to grab a i7 2600k and A gtx 1070.

That rx 580 gts is holding you back. Those cards suck

Edit: also a sata ssd would be a cheap upgrade.
