tbh i'd wait for next gen AMD cpus to come out, that'll lower current gen prices even more and make intel have competition again (and hopefully lower prices here too). sometime in 2022

if you can't wait
your cpu cooler aftermarket is overkill can save like $30 there
id probably spend that extra $30 getting a ssd that's not a WD blue

that warning means that sometimes your cpu just won't work when you put it in if it isn't updated, and you need to bring it to a local computer shop for them to update it (i.e microcenter memoryexpress etc)

build looks fine tho

I'm not in a huge rush, so thats good info, thanks. I might consider holding off till the new year hits.

I figured black friday would be the best time to upgrade.

Thanks!

You can ignore the warnings from PC Part Picker.

If you're looking for more information on why and what it means, the motherboards may need an upgrade (firmware/BIOS flash) so that it will work with the CPUs. If the motherboard was produced recently, you shouldn't have to upgrade the firmware/BIOS, since it will or should come with the latest BIOS at that time.

As for the other warning, that's typical and always there, every time I use PC Part Picker. You're using an AIO CPU cooler so you do not have to worry about the RAM clearance. You do have to double check if your case can fit the radiator, and I think I checked it already on my post #13.

Ok cool. I swapped the storage for a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500 GB.

I might be grabbing this tomorrow if everything looks okay.

what's your budget exactly? your cpu will be your bottleneck and will hurt you for future proofing, i'd go with a ryzen 5 1600 at least to pair with that gpu
then you can get a cheap cooler like the hyper 212 evo for the cpu
then get rid of your psu that will burn your house down and get a cheaper one because you don't need 750w (i.e Corsair TXM 550W 80+ gold, https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dDH48d/corsair-txm-gold-550w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020133-na )
better psu brands if you don't want the one above: EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic

with these mods^ you'd be about +$50-70 ish

My budget is about 1000 so I would love to upgrade stuff to around that price point. I'll swap out the power supply and processor. Would the 5600x or 5600g be worth going with?

to pair with your gpu a 5600x would probably be about your sweet spot to be honest, your gpu would become your choke point if you went up to that but not by a ton, a 3600 would be fine as well but its just not as recent. i'd personally splurge on the 5600x as it's more modern, has better core performance, and is very stable to overclock/easy as well.
