It was a surprisingly civil and policy focused debate with Trump taking deep cutting jabs at Joe's policy positions instead of cheap zingers at him personally. Biden held his own and never sputtered incoherently, but he got off stable footing and made a few slips on his policies and gave Trump soundbytes like 'wanting to end oil'

As skinned points out, welker was refreshingly not horribly biased against Trump and easily the best moderator out of any debate this year inclusing primaries, given how ugly it could have been. She actually confronted on his scandals too, and yet never got uncivil and never had shouting matches or talking over Trump. Last few debates were just Trump 1v2, this was a true 1v1

It was a decent presentation of the two competing ideologies which gave voters a clear and delineated choice.

The best kept their cool and made their cases and gave voters clear visions.

A good debate doesn't have a winner and a loser a has an exchange of ideas and its educational to the public. This seemed a lot like that.

They were pretty decent toward each other and that made it a good debate.

There were moments where biden said he wanted to end oil and moments where Trump said it was good that over 500 children lost their parents at the border. Biden called Proud Boys the Poor Boys.

This debate gave the opportunity for everyone to see a sharp difference in how each will run the country.

Trump won, which was obvious and confirmed by various polls.

Most of the polls I've seen have Biden winning the debate. I thought it was a tie.

trump cant even form coherent policy and it reflects in his dealings with corona. the first thing he thinks of is how is he going to personally benefit which bungles any responses he gives.

Most objective people say tie. You can tell who really has the self-confirmation biases here with this debate lol.

Yeah but I think the point is a tie is a small win for trump at this point

Biden took some hits but dodged body blows

I think how corona does between now and Election Day will be one of the last major variables to play out

We will see how my pending test plays out. I keep hitting refresh.

trump needs to dig out of a hole, and that debate did not accomplish that in any way
his campaign is going to have to throw some hail marys in the next 2 weeks
