i'm going to say one thing. a lot of republicans are trying to discredit Horowitz in media. (not Durham's statement, media statements)

Horowitz does a great job at what he does and is very thorough. the information is there to read, the total investigation is not over.


Pretty bizarre to see Durham speaking out like this about an ongoing investigation... and Barr also disputes the IG's findings without providing any evidence to the contrary.

I don't think Barr is operating as a conspiratorial Trump hack because he wants to impress his boss... he actually believes this stuff. Crazy times.

Could have something to do with the president and his allies repeating for three years that it was a deep state coup. The debunking of that narrative is more important than systemic FISA abuse.

1. Obama DOJ had two investigations open into Hillary Clinton in 2016.

What is an "Insurance policy".

The FBI knew the allegations were spurious, and that Steele had intentionally misrepresented his sources and actively doctored stories to make them seem more credible / outrageous.

Nevertheless, they continued to use them, leaked them to media sources, and kept Trump in the dark.

I'm not sure what you mean by "I disagree", it's a matter of fact.

I think the context of their texts speak for themselves. They were concerned that Trump would win for a variety of personal reasons, and the investigation was a fail safe.

The text happened after Crossfire Hurricane was already opened, so what were they referring to? And how was the investigation a fail safe?

If the investigation already began, why would they be debating whether to enact the insurance policy(investigation)? And how was the investigation a fail safe?
