This is where I have got to so far..

The tower I was going to buy isn't in stock until April so I need to select another tower. I'm concerned about A. whether or not the tower needs to come with prebuilt fans and how many, B. whether or not my parts will fit in the tower and C. do these towers come with all the sockets in the back to plug in my monitor and speakers?

The mid towers I can choose from are here: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/category/components/pc-cases/mid-tower-cases

amd made in india literally ~10 ppm poo dust in the cpu's. Just get an i5-8400 it's the king of budget gaming and it's intel so it's the best.

I can't see anything in the system requirements for any of the programs you're going to use that would require an RX580 GPU. That's money you could save right there, unless you think you'll run something in the not-too-distant future that would necessitate it.

Agreed, as per my previous post which shows my order, I did not buy a graphics card ^^

Oh, gotcha. :)

You will need some sort of GPU, as the Ryzen 5 doesn't have integrated graphics.

For generally using the PC or for games? I don't intend to play any games. Others in this thread stated I won't need any GPU unless I was going to play high end games.

/e

I see you're right, will order one thanks.

Yeah, doesn't have to be anything high end, but you do need one.

That will work. It's still likely more power than you need, but not as much as the 580, and it saves you about $180NZ over the 580.
