Yes his campaign worked, as the article states.

You're lost on what the internet is. Half the posters here are from other forums and discords that if you frequented you would know it's for shits and giggles.

You honestly think some people post for more than just a reaction out of some people? Do you know what site you're on?

Lal, that what I just said, you just enjoy it too much to see what's going on. Excuse me for not wanting to see you guys bitching all the time and prefer more taking some effort in a post ;)

No you're assuming that people don't frequent or consume other sources of information outside the topic in which they're trying to get a kick out of.

That's incorrect. Just because people don't put effort into d2jsp does not define the remainder of their day or consumption of information to see a global picture.

People shit for for enjoyment and put effort into real-life outside the interwebs.

I inferred you made the assumption that shit posting = lack of knowlege when you made the comment "enjoying it too much to see what's going on"

Perhaps it was the wrong interpretation.

Nah, I'm just saying ppl like it a bit too much at some points, but you're right about not expecting too much from JSP :)

what are the consequences if a majority of parliament joins in on the no confidence bid?

just theoretically, could corbyn directly be elected PM if he had the votes?

I think it goes to a general election.

This is not correct. Corbyn has called for a vote of no confidence in Theresa May; it would only go to a general election if there was a vote of no confidence in the government.

If the vote against Theresa May is successful, it paves the way for a new Tory PM, but it carries far less legal weight and could be interpreted as quite meaningless. Still, it sets the wheels in motion and will hopefully lead to a vote of no confidence in the government if they continue to delay voting on the brexit deal.

but wouldnt such a vote of no confidence in May immediately trigger an intraparty civil war among the notirously cutthroat tories? I can totally see how this would help Corbyn politically in a subsequent general election, which would probably be inevitable in this scenario, sooner rather than later.
but I dont see how all of this would create progress on the brexit issue.
