LS is really a fg sink and I think if people could somehow improve or even get their first gear on their own or so, that would improve the player base a lot
orif they found that's worth selling for other people to create gear
this is how it messed things up. you could fund a completel no maze on hc buying shrines between every round with 2 drops of magical items back then. you got to be able to find something to sell. it is my personal belief several things maybe buy them selves could change this:
make whites sellable.
make essence downgrade not a thing
make essences combinable rare+rare =mystical
reintroduce transmuting recipees
allow heavies to be mutable
clean up mods a bit by making the folowing changes
change mod roll formula to allow higher rolls. out of every nice arcane+ item i have ever seen few have only 1 good mod rest are still teir 1-3 garbage.
Increase the range of all non stat ( dex str int vita ) rolls on items per tier possibly up to double. their current values just arent as oticable given what they actually are supposed to do
rework str dex combos to make both desirable again. the ratio change just destroy most eveything. clubs have teh same ratios as daggers but crazy blah.
allow accessory slot to beneift from all non stat ( str dex int vita ) mods. yaya mules !!
add several new mods ( i know some will hate ) trans, glpyhing, fishing, cook, suffin profiency % items.
I would like to say going back i think vault prices are in a decent way currently. affordable on its own. wouldnt change much here
Shrine could use a boost but i think more importantly solo should get mw(ave)counter wihtout towning to boost drops/exp. the game just doenst have the players to support multiplayer only.
Market place i miss sellables being character specific. but i think something could be done about boosting the 20 fg limit up to 50 fg without taxing. playing with the limits of amount of items as nessecary.
boosts to fishing rods, totems, potion drops
add few additional items ( not equipment same drop rates as rods)
glpyhers gloves
transmuting hammer
cooking hat
suffers wand
Prof +, duration per skil, prof points all can be possible mods
allow white items like rods to be welled. make system of white rods easier to understand and higher durability make more sense ( noticeable )
add random exp, prof gain mini events based of mqs passed ~ maybe 30-60 minutes of global bonus for everyone
rework of abilities that are not currently used ( make some apply huge amounts of life/mana steal, crit, mana syphon, defensive boosts )

edit rework profiencies to allow for silly linear amount needed to level. make lower levels easier and faster than higher levels. ( which are imo in a good spot with above additons )
increased prof gain per mob/wave by 500% it just needs it. also make synergies proficenecies a thing. every 5 levels of muting get +1 magic luck, 5 levels of dagger get crit strike etc etc.
