Shortly after the Group B players stepped on the ice, the Flyers announced that defenseman Mark Friedman, a prospective restricted free agent this off-season, has been re-signed to a two-year extension. The deal is a one-way contract with an average annual value of $725,000.

vorobyov also apparently returning to russia already signed the contract
hes been bouncing back and forth between nhl/ahl mostly ahl time though kinda saw this coming
hes got really inconsistent play if he could play his a game more consistently i think he woulda had a solidified roster spot in the nhl

Philadelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier has been named one of three finalists for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, awarded by the NHL "to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game."

The announcement was made by the NHL today (20th), which also includes Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins and Ryan O'Reilly of the St. Louis Blues.

agreed and great to see and great for the mood of the team
he was one of our best players til he got "hurt" so even if we get 3/4 that hes going to be a huge benefit to have back on the roster

heres the official flyers roster for anybody else that might care

couts also became a father over the past few days
unfortunately i dont think hes able to be with his wife for a couple weeks due to the playoff bubble situation :O rough
Couturier's two-day absence was strictly for personal reasons. His wife, Laurence, gave birth on Friday to a healthy baby girl named Ella.

I highly doubt Lindblom sees any ice time, putting him on the roster IMO was purely a motivational move
