OFFICIAL: We’ve signed defenseman Linus Hogberg an entry-level contract, which will begin in 2020-21. Hogberg was selected as the club's fifth-round pick (139th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

David Bernhardt (2016 7th RD pick) is no longer #Flyers property after remaining unsigned past today's 5pm deadline.

The game has changed drastically.

Before these corsi stats was never even a thought.

Now they are becoming mainstream.

I can understand they do measure situational ability and help to determine a players overall effectiveness... but come playoff time that all goes out the window imo.

Analytics cant measure who fucking wants it more , so I take these advanced stats with a grain of salt.

honestly i have zero idea what the corsi numbrs mean or if thats even good
what i look at is his toi increasing every season for a young guy in the SHL thats what i want to see it likely means hes progressing decently or the team got rid of some d :D
he seems to be having a decent career in the SHL which isnt a bad league so id say thats a pretty good start for a 5th round pick he seems to be developing decently

i agree though the will of a player is so key because it drives their work ethic which drives everything else
i feel like thats what makes giroux such a good player he just wills shit to happen sometimes hes got a lot of skill but the stuff he does isnt always pretty but it works haha

yeah good for him and the guys
"It's going great," he said. "I don't have a lot [of treatments] left. Will be done soon. There's a light in the tunnel. ... That's the only thing I'm waiting for right now is to be done with my chemo and get back with the team and play some hockey. That will be unreal to get back to real life again and have fun."

sounds like hes going to be able to return to hockey if all goes well :O
