Boeser's dad passed away. Rip.

This dude just can't catch a break man, I think if I remember correctly he got into an accident in his teens and it killed his best friends. Canucks did him a favour and signed him early so that boeser can get paid to help pay for his dad's cancer. He survives it, but then gets parkinsons and passes away cuz of it. Not to mention his freak back injury, his speed never looked the same after that incident. Although his season prior was as close as he looked to his rookie form. I hope he finally breaks out this coming season

His mom worked three jobs just to keep everything afloat. He has had a tough go in life compared to most people, let alone pro hockey players who often come from affluent families.

Obviously he is a great guy or you would have not seen that kind of response from his teammates at the end of season media availability. Everyone was devastated.

Hope his contract gets sorted out because I think he is going to have a great year. Everyone will be cheering for him. You always root for the guy who has had to overcome struggle.
