Yep Petey has awoken. Don't blame me, I've always been a trade Boeser kinda guy.

Canucks have the tie breaker against the kings, and if they keep this pace up they might beat the slim odds and make the playoffs. How insane would it be to go on a win streak to the playoffs? Lol

King's have the easiest schedule though, but they have a lot of injuries and doughty is done for the season. We have our own issues, like losing horvat but damn they're still stepping it up

Taken from reddit
Petey started the first 37 games of the season off with 17 points (6-11—17). In the next 37 games, since Jan. 16th, he's got 46 points (23-23—46). That's equal games played numbers in the same season and his points per game went from 0.459 to 1.243.

Per 82 games that's going from a 37 points pace to 101 points, IN THE SAME SEASON. Petey's already beaten his career-high mark for goals and is less than 5 away from his personal assists and points records. I love seeing him shutting the haters down.

Jeez

Horvat is a big loss but the Kings are essentially missing their top pairing which is harder to overcome.

But like you said, they have an easy schedule and the pessimist (AKA Canucks fan) in me thinks we have a letdown coming soon here.

well, this was basically a regulation loss because we're highly unlikely to get a tiebreaker now.

Canucks would have to win 4 games in their remaining 5 games and kings would have to lose 3 games in their remaining 4. So yep, even if the Canucks won tonight it was gonna be slim. The Canucks will need 3pts out of 4 in the road trip against flames and wild to even have a conversation again. While kings have ezpz teams left to play.

Normally teams in West make playoffs at 90 to 94pts, this year is higher than normal. Just Canuck things hahaa

Was a good run. They tried, but we regularly had key players injured + we're an average team on paper to begin wtih.

Had some good momentum going up until the end of the Sens game.

Excited for the summer, could shape the trajectory of this team for the next 5 years.

We have to go 4-0-0

Dallas 2-2

Vegas 2-1-1

Not out of the realm of possibility but considering 3 of the 4 games are against teams better than us including a top team in the gutless Flames, it seems we're done.
