I am new to jsp and am struggling to find a place with average prices for common items like P gems, runes and uniques. How are things usually priced? I am afraid of grossly over or under pricing stuff and would feel silly doing a price check post for stuff like silkweave which has only 1 unimportant roll.

When you're posting a topic on the forums, there is an option that says "Price Check" you can ask for an item to be roughly priced.

Other than that, you can use the search tool on the forums to search for an item and see what they're going for.

/e Since you're new. Please check out these links to help you out on the forums.

Especially at the start of a new ladder season there is no such thing as average prices as these prices practically change on a daily or even hourly basis.
For most non-toptier items the prices will drop pretty fast, so checking other trade topics via the search function to see what items are sold for right now is your best option as Southland stated :)

Sweet! Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to use the search function.
