You wanna hear something even funnier?

“We stated as we showed up here that starting pitching depth was a priority for us,” Van Wagenen said. “We like Michael Wacha a lot. … He fits the category of depth starting pitching that we think has high upside.”

Wacha looks like 100% better than Porcello. I know he's pitching against the Red Sox, but he actually has movement on his off-speed pitches.

Also feels good seeing the Braves getting pounded like us last night.

Dom Smith: .500/.333/2.000

Pete Alonso: .154/.214/.385

And McNeil looks like he just woke up and didn't realize he was in a baseball game.

starting off slow as always. If only they'd realize its a sprint and not a marathon season.

Yep, also 6 years and 66 days of 'experience,' ehh Wacha?

That fucking foul ball scared the shit out of me.

If we're only up 4 runs, I can't say I feel 100% confident in maintaining that lead.

If Porcello can find himself he can be a real asset, especially when Stroman gets back. This rotation if they can click can be really deadly.

Imagine if we actually paid the same amount of money for 1 year of AAV for Wheeler. Cohen takes over and eats the cost of his salary.
And we trot out a lineup rotation of DeGrom, Thor, Wheeler, Stroman, and Matz... Wacha could've been the 6th spot starter/deadly BP piece.

Sigh...

I'm not that high on Porcello. But I do hope he bounces back... He's going to get plenty of run, and I don't know if that terrifies me or not.

Also nice on Wacha to get out of the jam.
