The picture shows incorrect suspension setup, and I pulled the hammock more snugly against the tarp (raised it higher up) when it was time to sleep. You can see the thicker black shock cord hanging in the first two images from the end of the quilt, which should have been attached to the clips at the suspension. Didn't know that, but it became apparent very quickly.
Still getting used to hammocks. But every time I go out, I get more and more comfortable. We hit 70* for the first time here in CT, probably into the 40s overnight. Slept very warm, I would consider trying the out the low 30s overnight.
I am going to make a structural ridgeline out of some 7/64 amsteel and hope that makes this weekends hang even more comfortable.
If you zoom in on my bag, you can see some nice super bowl patches I sewed on there. Still have 3 more to do when I have the time :P
Good shit man. That setup does look pretty nice. Is it a pain to pack it all in or not too bad? The only downfall I see is high winds would suck I think.
I like the patches too I have them all from super bowl 1 to 48.
