I personally like to scream at trees until someone finds me and I don't have to do any work.

That gets old after a few days, and you really start to get hungry and thirsty too.

A lot of it you can use camping or even at a campfire or shit like that. Hopefully you never have to use survival skills, but it's better to know them and not need them, than not know them and need them, 1000%

You have any tips on how to properly water seal a pair of work boots?

As in new boots? Leather I assume? If so, Mink Oil. It's the best.

Testing out a few different cold weather setups as the temperature drops and winter approaches. I like my green hammock because it's larger and more comfortable - I'm able to get a much flatter diagonal lay. However, the winter barrier on my orange hammock will be some added protection from wind. I have a few different tarps I could use too, both are rectangular however one uses a diagonal ridgeline (for triangle-shaped overlays on each side) and the other tarp ridges across the middle, for more coverage. I'm looking into making a tarp that has "doors" to cover the head and foot end, because if there is any sort of heavy precipitation or high winds, I'll be freezing my nuts off. Here are a few shots.

The first image is in a spot I would never actually sleep in, it's a death wish haha. But I really liked the spot for the second setup. It had added natural shelter of two large boulders on each side of me, with a river on the other end. Perfect little area to make a fire on my 4th side.

We're past peak fall foliage, but it's so beautiful here in New England. It's my favorite time of year in October.

Here I am tucked in all nice and cozy, enjoying a quick chill. My underquilt is rated for 20*F (grey duck down) and top quilt for 30*F (downtek).

You might notice the leaves are cleared from the ground in the second setup. Took a nasty digger walking from point A to B because of wet leaves on a rock. Ouch!

Awesome scenery for sure. That looks like your getting the hang of it and getting it tuned in good for what you like. nice lightweight setup sure makes it nice I bet. I always clear the leaves around my spot just to lessen the noise I make in the woods, helps to see more animals.
