What you looking to do? I do a lot of state land camping it's free if you get a permit and fill it out at your site. Good for up to two weeks at a spot as long as it's over a mile away from a state campground, but I go out in the boonies myself. Up by travese city is nice too, and theres a great wolf lodge for the kids.

Just placed an order for an underquilt to use with my hammock setup. It's 20*F rated 800 fill grey duck down. Super excited, this should be a good 3 season quilt for New England. It will be paired with a 30*F rated 750 fill down top quilt. This one is coming from a cottage shop, so I expect a 4-6 week fulfilment delay. My new hammock setup is coming from kickstarter anyways, so it won't ship until June (ugh)

Anyways this is what I'll be rocking all summer and fall, can't wait! I'll finally be off the ground!

(This is the under quilt, hangs around/outside/under of the hammock)

(Base setup, 10' gathered hammock with structural ridgeline with a bugnet/winter barrier, and a rain fly)

(picture of the top quilt i'll be using. It has a cinch cord to make a footbox, too. I also have that gear loft)

Which brings me to my next point...

Want to get a new backpack. Probably a 48L. Maybe 60L tops. I plan on going to REI soon to get fitted properly, and I actually might just get an Osprey.

I know absolutely nothing about backpacks. I usually carry all my stuff in my Rucksack.

Some pics of my overnight hang last saturday. Wanted to test out the under quilt. The picture shows incorrect suspension setup, and I pulled the hammock more snugly against the tarp (raised it higher up) when it was time to sleep. You can see the thicker black shock cord hanging in the first two images from the end of the quilt, which should have been attached to the clips at the suspension. Didn't know that, but it became apparent very quickly.

Still getting used to hammocks. But every time I go out, I get more and more comfortable. We hit 70* for the first time here in CT, probably into the 40s overnight. Slept very warm, I would consider trying the out the low 30s overnight.

I am going to make a structural ridgeline out of some 7/64 amsteel and hope that makes this weekends hang even more comfortable.

If you zoom in on my bag, you can see some nice super bowl patches I sewed on there. Still have 3 more to do when I have the time :P
