Okay, I started this with incredibly low expectations and I was blown away. I started watching around 11:30 last night, knowing I had class at 7 AM and after telling myself I'd only watch one episode no matter what, I HAD to watch a second lol. If this show stays as good or gets better throughout, I'm going to be fucking blown away. It's damn good so far.

At least finish the first episode.

I hate the horror genre, I haven't seen anything that falls into that category worth seeing in as long as I can remember. Maybe Drag me to Hell, that was okay, but even that was almost a decade ago. Cabin in the Woods was awesome as well, but that was more of a comedy than anything else.

This caught me completely off guard, I don't get scared no matter what, but multiple times during the first two episodes I had my hair standing up on my arms and I was leaning in excited as all hell for what creepy ass shit was about to happen. I'm curious to see how it plays out and I'll admit that I'm bummed this isn't going to be a one season and done kinda thing, dragging it out could be the downfall, like it has been for every single good Netflix show so far.

The acting is phenomenal, the ambience is unreal, and it's got every element something that's truly creepy needs. This has a ton of potential and I'm excited to get out of school so I can binge watch more.

Yeah im going to finish the episode, just had to switch over to the sox game.

I've also never really enjoyed a horror movie tbh. Scary movies are usually acted terribly and just full of jump scares. Tbh the only movie that's ever really scared me was the first paranormal activity. That was also awhile back.

The strangers was also pretty fd I guess.

Hopefully I can get into it

I tried to watch Paranormal Activity and legitimately thought it was one of the worst movies ever to achieve that type of acclaim. There was nothing scary about it and it was just fucking boring... I get why others thought it was scary or w/e, the way they advertised as it being a *real* encounter and the jump scares, but still, it was clearly fake as shit and just lame lol.

Don't think I ever saw The Strangers I'll look it up.

You should give this a chance though, I'm hoping it stays good, so far it's been great.

So was I. To be honest though, when I was a kid, like 8-10, I watched a few scary movies that fucking destroyed me. I was terrified of them and wouldn't go anywhere near them. When I finally went back when I was like 14 I realized how stupid and childish they were and ever since then I haven't once had a movie actually scare me or make me nervous.

The book is drastically different from the show. The only way I could see a second season is to actually follow the book for it. I do think it will be one and done though.

I remember when I first saw strangers. The end scene definitely stuck with me.

"because you were home". Was chilling when I was younger. Still is becsuse that scenario is actually possible.

Related to this I finished the show. Good show. Spoilers below

I didn't like the ending that much. I wasn't hoping everyone would have a positive revelation and pretty much move on with life. I was almost hoping they would all end up as part of the home in the end and the entire family "goes home".

Regardless still good. I really hope Netflix dives into the backstory of the home using the other seasons to keep going back in time and put some stories together intertwining them.

I did feel some attachment to the characters though but using them again in my mind is not an option.

Slightly over halfway through episode two

Seems like I initially turned off episode one right before it really picked up.

Creepy show I'll definitely watch the whole thing
