D2 and any game that can have free trade accessible, is pay to win, no matter how you dress it. Please. You can spray paint a pile of shit gold. Its still shit .
Show me a duel where a lesser built caster vs a decked out 40x 20/17 es sorc can effectively beat that. 45/gcs and the best possible PURCHASED or traded fg for gear. I've played d2 a VERY long time. Never once has a mediocre build ever come close to beating a decked dueler. NEVER. The second you trade 15k fg for a piece of gear, is the second you've officially "paid to win". I'll die on that hill. That is no more and no less "p2w" it is just a free trade market and people like you sitting on 200k fg have access to the "whale" status.

The true issue you guys have, is the access to gear, or in this case, Legendary Gems, is only accessible from use of actual real money, which clearly you dont have so your first reaction is to be bent out of shape and cry. You're a hater and it shows.

Game developers are tired of RWT markets because people like you exploit their game by buying and selling their property; virtual items. They have effectively found a way to fix this problem, clearly, because it's made SO many people mad.

The only people crying lately is everyone sitting on their 100k+ fg . As stated above, I know where your true hate is rooted from. You just cant use your lifes worth of fg (btw, 100k fg will get you about $800 usd in battle.net balance) so its more than obvious why you're all mad. Your poor 30 year old lifes worth of gaming amounts to less than $1,000 which doesnt even tip the scale on being ANYTHING in the game.

the difference between a good dueler vs a noob is larger than the difference between a 5k fg necro vs a 50k fg necro

in this case, I feel like the good dueler should win 90%+ of the time if not more, hence why d2 is not pay to win (in my opinion; and of course this does not include zeal vs zeal or BVB or hold right click duels)

Seriously I think you're not seeing the problem here or maybe you really don't realize that you contradict yourself. You can't ignore one FACT, throw it out, so what you say fits your argument. You realize you're agreeing D2 is "p2w" BUT BUT BUT only on a handful conditions.

The only difference now, all trades and purchases go through Blizzard. Not someone like you me or d2jsp. Can you imagine the amount of $ value that D2 items have been traded in total? Billions of $ USD worth.
