But the media and house democrats alike had their great freakout moment thinking they finally got their quid pro quo bombshell out of Mulvaney just because he didn't say Simon Says one of the multiple times he denies the quid pro quo.

Do you really think any new information was communicated by Mulvaney that blew the case open? Or is this just TDS having a field day with a gaffe. Because to me, it looks like the Trumpers when Obama said "my muslim faith"

Sorry, but let's get real here: Trump and Biden both used the leverage they had over Ukraine for personal gain (or that of their family).

Like I've said very early on in this thread: what it will come down to is whether Trump's accusations of corruption against the Bidens will have meat to them. If they do (and they clearly do!), then he will be able to mount a lame "I didnt do it for my personal gain, I did it to root out Biden's corruption and the harm it did to America"-defense. Which is bullshit, but will be enough to prevent him from being removed from office. He might very well get impeached by the House though.

Why is Pelosi holding off impeachment?

Reading the msm you’d think trump is guilty 10 times over so why is Pelosi not impeaching him? Is Pelosi a secret Trump sympathizer? It’s time we investigate Pelosi.

If they impeach now, the GOP has enough time to recover and either establish a good new candidate, or prepare a serious campaign by then incumbent President Pence.
However, if they drag the process out and Trump gets impeached and subsequently removed from office in April 2020 or so, the shockwaves will reverberate until election day and President Pence has much less time to establish his brand and campaign theme.

Because this isn't about convicting... That'd be a nice bonus but it's so unlikely that the senate will convict. It's about getting all the info they can and signalling to the country that this president must go.

Republicans too corrupt to remove even this president.
