The point isn’t that bailing out airlines should be exclusive. I don’t have any airline stock or sympathy for airlines. I think some of them need to go bankrupt. The point is that most trumpists simultaneously argue conflicting points. He just said the dems only introduce “Omnibills”, and there have been no Republican house shenanigans, then backtrack to “well ok fuck the airlines.” Like just be consistent.

Watch now Democrat’s won’t even put forth their same legislation because now trump wants them to. This is the level of idiocy that is our elected congress.

i do my best to be consistent and fair (if one actually reads my posts, which im sure you and a few good people here do, I actually am consistent in slamming the ineptitude of all of Congress) and im not responsible for every pro-Trump person there is ;)

There are millions of Americans who haven't received any form of paycheck whatsoever, who's unemployment ran out, or they simply never received any to start, who only have homes because they currently cannot be evicted.

Entire segments of the business sector are forcibly shut down, with roughly 60% of all small businesses that have been mandated to shut down projected to NEVER be able to reopen.

There are quite literally MILLIONS of people who need relief and due to the greed of house democrats looking for $800 Billion in state benefits, those people and businesses aren't receiving shit. Why on Earth should Trump provide yet another bailout to the airlines, who are one of the few industries who've been 100% covered for the last 6 months, and who ALSO got to avoid lockdown?

Who's talking about the omnibus bill? Everyone who's frustrated that Democrat greed has prevented multiple industries from receiving help, and is now watching them try to get the airlines yet Billions more worth in bailouts. :)

Where did I state there shouldn’t be a stand alone bill giving American citizens relief? I have literally been arguing for this for some time, why are you repeating this point that I never even brought up.

The point is you have argued Democrats have only put forth huge legislation which the republicans have been forced to shut down. This point is simply invalid. Airline relief which would substantiate 10 million American jobs was blocked for political purposes by republicans in the house. You have to be a political hack to not acknowledge this.

I will ask a 3rd time, do you or do you not support Trump’s present plan to provide independent airline relief

You have 2 options
1. I support trump on this and republicans were wrong to block
2. I don’t support trump on this and republicans were right to block

I directly stated that no, I do NOT believe airlines should be provided another bailout. The businesses have not been on lockdown, they already received $25 Billion. This is a relatively tiny business sector. If they pissed away $25 Billion in 6 months without even being locked down, it's time for them to start downsizing, taking standard loans, selling off capital, merging, etc.

On the flipside, I directly DO support an independent $1200 stimulus check payout.

The idea that an industry that hasn't been locked down should be receiving a SECOND bailout when industries in heavy lockdown have received nothing is complete and utter trash.

If you don't like the answer, deal with it. Your theory that I have to agree or disagree with a party line goes a long way to show why you're having so many difficulties here. If you agree 100% with any single person on everything, there's something wrong with you.

That is fine. It was not clear to me that you were against Trump’s current proposals. As long as you acknowledge that I have no issue. Nowhere did I say you should be party line and actually implied the opposite.

Perhaps you should specifically link to what "proposals" you're referring to. The most clear "proposal" Trump has recently listed is that he wants a singular bill for a $1200 stimulus check on his desk by the end of the day, which of course won't happen.

His proposal for a standalone on the paycheck protection program is... Interesting. It'll have to be addressed how the funds are allocated, as there was a lot of fraud involved during the first round.

Regarding the Airline thing, you'll need to provide the text of DeFazio's bill prior to convincing anyone that Dems tried. Everything Trump's trying to accomplish right now would involve utilizing funds that are already appropriated.

If there are other "proposals" that he's tabled, please list them. I don't use twitter, nor do I follow the rants of Trump or all the people who're fixated on him on Twitter. As it seems Trump's Tweets are what you consider "being informed".

No, because it didn't happen.

Trump was referring to Democrat's attempts to claim he refused to take action early on as a "hoax". Biden fell asleep on all the words in between where Trump first mentioned covid, and woke up at the word hoax. Easy mistake, he's old.

AP has a fact check up on that, and even they're like, "Nah, Biden's an idiot."

I am specifically and only referring to airline relief. This should be clear by now. Trump has very clearly named 3 proposals, it’s not my job to educate you. I dont have Twitter

“Everything trump is trying to accomplish would involve utilizing already appropriated funds”

Wrong

“Republicans have only blocked Omnibills”

Wrong

Google is hard , the bill contents are public record

Since your lazy the 3 proposals are:
1. Aid for airlines
2. 125 billion PPE (only thing that is already appropriated)
3. 1200/person

ohhh so just more lying and then they try to use the previous lies over and over and over and over again and the media is 99% on their side so it's just allowed to slide

Where did you learn about these "proposals"? All 3 were posted on Twitter. So where did you learn about them?

First, that's 2 tweets, not three. The first tweet: "The House & Senate should IMMEDIATELY Approve 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business. Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act. Have this money. I will sign now!"

That does NOT indicate a standalone airline bill. And IS funded by currently appropriated funds left from the CARES act. Myself, I do NOT support another $25 billion airline bailout. The PPP is fine, assuming administration of funds is addressed.

"If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy? @MarkMeadows @senatemajldr @kevinomccarthy @SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer"

That'd be the second. And you're correct, that part is not already funded. Now that I've provided the context that you left out, where's DeFazio's bill? I want to see this magical standalone airlines assistance bill. If it's public record, why aren't you posting it?

You have yet to show that a bill has been presented that was not an "omnibill" as you call it. Perhaps you should go grab the text of the bill so we can discuss it. :)

Now, to emphasize, since you don't read well: WORKERS HAVE BEEN FURLOUGHED/OUT OF WORK FOR 6 MONTHS AND RECEIVED NO RELIEF. AIRLINE WORKERS ARE ONLY JUST NOW EXPERIENCING A POTENTIAL FURLOUGH. AIRLINES WERE NEVER LOCKED DOWN. AIRLINES ARE NOT RECEIVING COVID RELIEF. THEY ARE RECEIVING A BAILOUT BECAUSE THEY'RE SHIT AT BUSINESSS.

Clear?
