Tbh not sure why east of the anacostia is DC. That should be given back the MD like Arlington was given back to VA

You are stating the way it is now, but that's not necessarily how it needs to be.

Why should any specific town not have legislature, a governor or courts? And if DC is not big enough to be a state, should it not be part of a state?

This town has a city council and a mayor, like pretty much every other city in the country.
