Given the Constitutional mandate establishing DC, I'd be more in favor of changing law to make DC's representative in the House a full-voting member.

Was wondering why there was a bunch of white people holding signs for statehood as I went into work today (I live in dc). DC is a city and shouldn’t be a state in my opinion. Just more socialist democratic representation
