in 10 years, 1% of the price

I can get my genome sequenced for under $1000, while a decade ago it would've cost me $1 million

So where should we stop?

Should we include a clause that only says to filter for genetic disease? Should we filter for other advantages in life (attractiveness, height, addictivity, etc)? Today there was a study that people who are more attractive are more likely to be hired, get higher pay, and that attractiveness is just as much of an asset in academic level jobs as your resume.

I'm for it, ofc. being pro life I think it's the woman's right to choose what happens as it is now the cost is going to keep it from going too mainstream

and by the time the cost becomes cheap enough there will more than likely be newer and better advancements in screenings anyway.

as far as selecting genes for attractiveness if a generation starts to all become homogeneous then the ones with a flaw of some sort will be the new beauty

we only see beauty because it stands out from the rest. The vanity of our species is a never ending rainbow with the pot of gold just over the next hill.

speaking on the health side, being able to choose a child who will not be born with any major health problems would be a huge thing.

I doubt it, human attractiveness is largely a function of symmetry. I don't see that changing just cause there are MORE people that are attractive.

I do even now!
some of the most successful fashion models have a certain thing that makes them stand out
and of course I'm drawing blanks for examples...Lauren Hutten's gap in her teeth, Christy Brinkley's beauty mark,

as long as the cups line up with the proper one on her right while your driving, and at the movies, then it's A-ok....it's when you have to do the crossbody stretch you run the risk of a quad tear. :D

In the future abortion will be seen as a barbaric practice, likely will be outlawed by future puritan-liberals who place an unborn fetus above human life.
