I'm going to rank and give a quick analysis of some of the top talents per position in this year's draft.  I am going to make a new thread for each position and will keep old threads listed in each new thread.

Keep in mind, this is purely my opinions.  I am not saying this will be the order, this will be how players turn out or anything along those lines, it's just simply my own personal thoughts.

If you'd like a specific position to be done next, feel free to post, I don't mind jumping around.  If not, I'll go in order (QB, WR, RB, TE, OT, etc...)

Guards:

1) Chance Warmack, G, Alabama – You know how I said last year “David DeCastro is the best guard prospect to hit the NFL in the past 10-15 years, maybe even ever…” well….. Chance Warmack is the best guard prospect to hit the NFL in the past 10-15 years, maybe even ever…lol. Warmack has the size, speed and quick feet you want, he can open holes for the run game and protect very well in the pass game. He’s one of the safest picks in the draft and it’s unfortunate that he’ll probably fall into the late teens, early 20s simply because of the position he plays. But, that just means some incredible team will bolster their offensive line.

2) Larry Warford, G, Kentucky – Warford is the biggest sleeper at guard. He could easily be the second guard taken once teams really get a look at him. He has the perfect size, great athleticism, quick feet with some speed mixed in there too. He blocks well for the run and pass games and is all around solid. There really is no flaw to his game.

3) Jonathan Cooper, G/C, North Carolina – I’ve been on the Cooper wagon for some time now. He could add some weight but aside from that, he’s an ideal fit for the interior of an offensive line. He’s quick and athletic, can get down the field or pull for blocks. Cooper is a big reason for Giovani Bernard’s breakout season.

4) Barret Jones, C/G/T, Alabama – Barret Jones is just fantastic, plain and simple haha. I firmly believe that he can play any, and I do mean any position along the offensive line. He may struggle at LT but other than that, he can be successful at any position on the line. That being said, center will be the best position for him in the NFL. He’s got good size and strength with fairly quick feet and excels in run and pass protection but as I said, he can play either guard spot, RT, develop at LT or center.

5) Dallas Thomas, G/OT, Tennessee – Thomas is a guy who can instantly be plugged into an offensive line and be productive. He’s best fit at left guard probably but he can play right too or even right tackle. But, he’ll be most productive at left guard if he adds a little weight to his frame. He’s got good size and strength and should be an early selection on day 2.

6) David Quessenberry, C/G, San Jose State – Quessenberry has really impressed me. He has decent size right now but if he can pack on another 20 lbs or so in the weight room, he’d be ideal for the NFL. He’s got good speed for his size and is great in pass protection. He’s OK in run blocking but could develop his skills there too.

7) Braden Hansen, C/G, BYU – I’m pretty high on Hansen. He’s got great size, quick feet, is mobile and versatile. He’ll probably be better fit to play guard in the NFL but he can play center if needed.

8) Travis Frederick, C/G, Wisconsin – Frederick isn’t nearly as mobile as NFL teams would like their centers to be and definitely not where he needs to be if he wants to play guard. He excels in run blocking but struggles in pass blocking. I wouldn’t exactly be happy if my team were to draft him.

9) Terron Armstead, OT/G, Arkansas Pine-Bluff – Armstead is another sleeper I expect to raise after teams get a better look at him as is the natural case for talent in lesser named schools. He’s got good size and speed to play guard and blocks well. He’s actually incredibly fast for his size. He could make for a solid RT in the NFL as well.

10) Alvin Bailey, OT/G, Arkansas – Bailey took a step backwards last season but so did a lot of Arkansas talent. Little of the fault is on the players themselves, but it’s a concern none the less. He’s got the size but needs to separate himself from this past season. Going to a team with good OL coaching, Bailey could be a starter sooner rather than later.

11) Blaize Foltz, G, TCU – Foltz is just solid. He’s not spectacular, he could start for some teams, but all in all, he’s a solid value pick on day 3. He can develop and turn into an all-around solid player. Doubt he’ll make any pro bowls, but he has all the ability to have a nice, productive NFL career.

12) Garret Gilkey, G, Chadron State – Gilkey is coming from a small school and that hurts any talented player but he could rise up draft boards quickly. He’s already built like an NFL player and could step in day one. We’ll see how he does at the combine here soon.

13) Omoregie Uzzi, G, Georgia Tech – I still like Uzzi a lot but I’m not blind. He’s probably not going to succeed at guard but he could be an excellent center. He’s been told that but he’s still planning on moving forward as a guard. He’ll wise up eventually and make the move to center but for now, as a guard, I don’t like that fit.

14) Hugh Thorton, G, Illinois – Thorton struggled against the better talent he faced. He’s well built and is a great athlete but needs to develop his blocking skills to have any sort of successful NFL career.

15) J.C. Tretter, G, Cornell – Tretter played OT in college but he’ll need to move to guard in the NFL, because of that, he’s ranked fairly low simply because I don’t know how he’ll do. He has the physical tools and the intelligence to be a great guard. Personally, I’d like to see him paired up with a young QB and let them develop together. Round 6, Indianapolis, nice combination there. ;)

Thanks. At this point, it really isn't all that tough. The research is already done for the most part, a few new names pop up here and there, only thing that will change is all projected numbers, weights, heights, etc will become official after the combine.

Yeah, it's going to be big in the first round this year I believe. Upwards of 5 tackles and possibly 4-5 guards taken in the first this year (that's counting Jones as only one too)

EDIT: Golfing tomorrow after work so may not do one tomorrow but if I do, it'll be OT.
