I'm going to rank and give a quick analysis of some of the top talents per position in this year's draft. I am going to make a new thread for each position and will keep old threads listed in each new thread.
Keep in mind, this is purely my opinions. I am not saying this will be the order, this will be how players turn out or anything along those lines, it's just simply my own personal thoughts.
If you'd like a specific position to be done next, feel free to post, I don't mind jumping around. If not, I'll go in order (QB, WR, RB, TE, OT, etc...)
One thing I wanted to add in this, keep in mind, in all of these rankings, these are no where near all of the guys who have declared for the draft at the positions. These are just the top 10-20ish that I am covering. To cover them all would take much more time than I have to invest in this.Fullbacks:1) Zach Line, FB, SMU – Line is the ideal NFL fullback. He’s got good size, quick feet, good ball skills and can block. He can get that short yardage, catch those dump down passes and be the lead blocker. Anyone in the market for a solid fullback should jump on Line in the early late rounds (early late rounds, does that make sense? Lol)
2) Tommy Bohanon, FB, Wake Forest – Bohanon is quite reliable in the pass game and has the ability to get that short yardage. He’s a bit small and needs to bulk up some to become a better lead blocker though.
3) Kyle Juszcyk, FB, Harvard – Juszcyk was a former tight end so you know he has the reception skills. He can block, catch and get that short yardage. Really the only fault is that I read he lost 2 fumbles. I just read that though, couldn’t find a stat on that so don’t take it for truth.
4) Lonnie Pryor, FB, Florida State – Pryor has all the receiving and rushing skills a FB could ask for. He’s probably the most sound FB in this class when it comes to those areas. He’s not set to be the best lead blocker though at the moment but a few extra pounds added in the weight room and he’s golden.
5) Braden Wilson, FB, Kansas State – Wilson is more of the pure blocking FB than an option in the pass or run game. He can get those short yards on the ground when needed but he’s better fit to come in and blow some fools up for his running back.
6) Zach Boren, FB, Ohio State – Boren played LB and FB this past year. He seems better fit at the FB position, doesn’t seem to have the natural instincts an LB needs but he could try to make a team’s roster at either position. It does show he has some versatility which is nice. I see Boren being that guy who’s on your team from the day he’s drafted until he retires as just one of the best special teamers you’ve ever seen. Nothing wrong with that at all, you need special team guys.
