Hey everyone! I am brand new to the forums. Someone mentioned them in game yesterday, so I figured I'd check them out and here I am.

Been playing D2 since it came out in high school way back when and have been loving D2R since it's release. I am playing ladder as a Hammerdin and currently sit at level 89 (almost 90!). My character's name is Nidalap (lame, I know) and I play mostly on the Americas server.

If anyone has any tips or tricks to help navigate the forums, I would appreciate it. I see lots of posts about Forum Gold offers. How does that work? Is FG the most common form of currency, or do people use runes for trading as well?

Let’s say you want to buy a shako

I post saying shako here, 100 fg (hypothetical)

I then send you a private messsge saying” hey I have the shako for 100 fg, meet me in game: ABC password: ABC

I make game, you join game

I say hi, my name is IgoSoHard @ jsp, you say hi I’m [your name] on jsp

You send the fg to me, I send the item

be aware of scams.

Use a mediator. Don’t let scammers get to you. Read up on how to prevent this as much as possible.

also stay out of general chat. It just the same 3 guys baiting people into their bs, so they can give them temp bans. Don’t get sucked in. The second worst is the political subforum. There people know the right answer but deliberately disinform. stay out.

I have a bunch of items that I would love to trade for FG, but I'm not sure what (if any) value they have, especially not what they are worth in FG. Am I allowed to make a post asking for FG offers or must I have a price?

You can list anything you want without a BIN(Buy item now) and have people offer like an auction.

Well iv been on jsp since oct 29 2021 and so far never been scammed.
If you do trades like big enough example your bank value use a mediator takes 1 minute maybe 5 minutes to complete transaction why not be safe. But if it is a small trade of 30 fg im sure they will give you item you wanted.
Best tip if you selling an item my friend wait for em to pay you the fg then you accept the trade.
