cant help but think of scripture at times "God is not mocked"
in christianity it is the qualities of the heart that we are concerned with
in atheism/antitheism it is the mind that is paramount. one insists that they are the greater thinker and will not consider any other option. considering the implications outlined in the previous link they are a walking mockery of themselves?
this is true and very important and there is a reasoning behind it. its called motivated cognition, basically we are less able to see our biases, and the biases of our group, than the opposing group, explained here:
https://youtu.be/8Jk7JgAtK7w?t=226so since the media pushes atheism hard, the only ones you see in the media will be atheists. they cant see flaws in their own thinking and those who do see them, simply wont get in the media. this leads to positive reinforcement and kinda creates a vicious cycle of people basically sucking their own dick, ideologically speaking
atheism requires as massive (if not more massive) leap of faith as theism does, and in the end you need faith for either one. and while from the atheistic point of view it isnt very logical to have literal hard limits in the knowledge we can acquire (e.g. quantum measurement problem), in theism its basically the only logical way. if there were a god, why would he show us that he is there if that would interfere with our free will? only a person who had faith that god indeed existed in the first place would be able to learn that he is actually there (and even that for him/herself), because that wouldnt interfere with free will anymore
what impresses me is that you do see this in religious texts, and im pretty sure they had no idea about the measurement problem or any other mathematical limitation problem we have in the universe
