Windows:
Put all in performance, use guides to put all best for performance. Some settings should be off.

Put dark colors in windows.

Use as few desktop icons as possible.

Every time u gonna game:
Search: %temp% and delete all, but click "skip" if Windows ask.
Search: run. Click enter. Write Prefetch and delete all, but click skip if windows ask.
Search: cmd write this in cmd: ipconfig /flushdns

Recyclebin: right click and delete items in trashbin.

Take off apps running in back ground that u dont need, and take away the auto start upon startup.

Go into ur browser settings and take off the "run in back ground" option.

Im a little drunk now, and on phone so cannot explain better.



My cpu usage is fine, it’s just my ram that goes sky high. Like i said i can run 1x d2r with 16 gb ram, but 2 is too much

Do you guys need to change game settings for secondary clients each time it is started?
I am able to launch 2 copies now but my filler client always starts with the settings from my main client.

So now running 2 instances with 16gb,
One max res with all to the max on my main monitor and the second one on the lowest resolution with capped framerate 30 set to max performance and everything runs fine. The loading times seems to have gotten slightly longer but it’s negligible.
Will add a 3 copy in the upcoming weeks and tweak the graphics to optimise and see if I can run them stable.
As mentioned I run16gb of ram a 2080TI with a 9900K.

for me the max i really could run on 16gb is 3 and this is on a secondary computer. on my main computer I run 4 on 32gb and with discord/web open I still only have about 4 gb remaining most of the time.

I cannot edit the original post any more, one small improvement is to update the desktop shortcuts so it will first close the Instance handle (run powershell script) and then also start battle net launcher -> one double click. You basically have less operations to do when you are starting multiple clients. There is no harm if the powershell script runs and there is no handle.

Target:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "C:\Users\<username_change_me>\Desktop\D2Rhandle_del\D2Rhandle_del.ps1" && cmd /c "F:\Diablo II Resurrected 6\Diablo II Resurrected Launcher.exe"



When you are confident with the setup you can remove the last powershell script line, so it will auto close when finished.

The guide is intended for people who orient themselves in Windows, are able to create and run a script with the supplied code from the post #1. Maybe send me a PM what is not clear, I can try to help.
