Basically, what is the best character level (Clvl) to Solo or 2 man group when clearing Map(s) without going over the Mlvl of the Map?

Here are some examples:

Angelic embossed desert map ... Mlvl Cap 50, say level 33 start
Level Req: 25
Use Item to Receive Effect
+1 Warm Lights
+18 Evil Presences
+138% Warm Light Effectiveness
Quantity: 5

Godly embossed volcano map ... Mlvl Cap 50, say level 35 start
Level Req: 25
Use Item to Receive Effect
+8 Warm Lights
+14 Evil Presences
+1 Treasure Chests

+1 Rooms
+21% Monster Difficulty
Quantity: 5
+12% Level Up
+13% Stealth


Would my assessment be correct to start those maps?

Map size is fixed, so this is basically ”how many levels are needed as a buffer depending on map stats”?

Is the relationship between map size and lvls it take to clear it linear? I.e. Equally probable to clear a 25 map and a 45 map if i start them on the lvl req?

Actually curious about both the above myself :)

absolutely not. you will likely outlevel 45+ maps unfortunatly even if you start them directly at the level. it gets worse if there are events like EPs, +exp, +level cap, etc. etc., sometimes as low as 35+ maps if you get a crazy additional exp event

this could be easily solved by adding 15 levels to 45+ maps or even 25 cuz whatever at that point, but.... hasnt happened yet.

Yes maps are fixed.

Evil Presence is Double the experience to a normal monster (well last time I tested this was years ago). Then there is the Random amount of EPs that will spawn per +X Evil Presence square to the Map size, only logical thing would be to average it out:

Solo = 2 average EPs per space... so +14 EPs = 28 average monsters & +18 EPs = 36.
2 Man = 3 average (14 = 42 / 18 = 54 ... etc)

This does NOT include any extra EPs that may spawn. Same goes with Spins & TCs even outside of the Event mods

Reason why I am asking is because the Event has a good +X% Stat Drop Quality... so better items from all the EPs, but don't want to diminish the Drop QUANTITY by going above the Monster level cap of the Map.

I would start them at 37-38 or so in solo, no idea about 2 man.

If you truly fear hitting the cap that much, I would probably start the 2nd one at 30. You are going to level very fast in that one, but I don't see a reason for why anyone would worry about that.

Hitting the cap in a lvl 45+ md map can be awful, this is not a 45+ map though :P

Nice to point out and thank you.

Since the Mlvl cap is 50 on both maps, the Tier of drops are different when encountering the Evil Presence.

The difference is this... if I was level 45 and come across an Evil Presence swarm and kill them, I have a chance to have a level 55 item drop (excluding any Event mod)... so, adding in the current Event Mod over 4 days when started, the Stat Quality increases by the Event.

I don’t get it. How would you get 55s to drop at 45?

It is a MAP.

EDIT: sorry should have been a bit more precise... A map actually has a chance to drop 2 tiers higher than character level as long as they are in Mlvl (vs EP) range etc... so... Mlvl map of 45 vs EP has a chance to drop a level 55 item.

How though? They are both lvl 25 maps so the max for them would be a lvl 50 drop.

The MONSTER LEVEL CAP IS 50... not the drops quality

EDIT: same goes for welling... you are level 1 and throw in a TierIII item into the well, and the side drops can go up to level 5 or 10.

I just find it funny how many people that call me fucking dickhead, doesn't know jack fucking shit hasn't already divulged this information over the past fucking 5 if not more year.s
