How do you feel about this?

The Last Jedi was a deconstructive and boring movie in my opinion. The Rise of Skywalker seemed like a mishmash, to bring back Palpatine was illogical and a desperation move to check another box on the demographics list

I really thought he took episode 8 in a good direction even if there was a lot of issues with the story and film making. JJ completely bitching out and turning episode 9 into fan fiction while ignoring the great character arcs Rian set up is a tragedy.

Hopefully he didn't have as many technical and directorial issues in the new movies.

Terrible decision, Rian Johnson did well with Looper but TLJ was straight up aids

Never got the appeal of star wars, didnt even like it when i was a kid...

TLJ is the only real source of criticism I have for the franchise. TFA and RotS were like "eh, ok cool. Doesn't bother me that they weren't great".

In itself it wasn't a bad movie. He is a very good director.

The guy is a talented director and it's not easy to squeeze a movie in between two piles of pandering dogshit. I hated TLJ, thought it was laughable at best, but I can't imagine trying to create a good movie when coming into an already created story and trying to pick up the pieces. I don't think judging him off TLJ alone is fair because of this. If he fucks up again than crucify him, but it can't be worse than the last trilogy imo

Rogue one was better than the latest films get that guy directing imo

All of the new movies, including Rogue one, have been shit.
