then 3rd and whatever from the 35, it's already a 52 yarder with bryant kicking in a dome (retractable roof) so even if you get 5 yards (on 3rd and 23 i assume a simple draw gets that) you've got a makeable field goal

Yep, that's the exact one. I watched in stunned silence on the 1st down where they got sacked. I couldn't fucking believe they gifted that to us. None of it made sense... Not only has your ground game been dominating, you're in FG range to begin with, and burning time off the clock when NE will need two scores with 3 minutes (2 if you play it right), is a done fucking deal. Just madness. I was legitimately almost blackout drunk by halftime of this game lol, such a rollercoaster of emotions.
