Yep

Although I think it's an unfair argument. They both helped each other achieve greatness.

Bellichick has admitted that by going all in for last 3 years or so, it mortgaged the future and now here they are, reeling from it.

BB still a fantastic coach, but having a QB like Brady was definately more significant than Brady having a great coach.

Lol you clearly did not understand BB
That was just one of his many excuses this season

Sold out? Please check the Patriots spending in the last 5 years lmfao

19, 17, 24, 12, 32nd(this year)
From 2013-2016? 30th....

Didnt spend shit. Doesnt accept that he failed at his job so he just made up lame excuses.

in his 9 SBs with the pats he averages 23 ppg and they give up 22 ppg

math would indicate he should be 5-4, not 6-3

yet we all act like it was the giants lucky to beat them twice

Didn't expect you to actually watch football so not surprised by this reaponse

You shouldn't use spending as your metric when teams can move cap space from year to year. You should use either the unspent cap dollars or % of unspent cap to truly express the metric.

For instance, a team can have extra cap space rolled over from the year before, which would give them extra cap, or they could have a cap penalty from dead money from prorated signing bonuses accelerating into the current year. Or they could be spending little money now while mortgaging their future, which would make their spending look lower than it is.

Really any single-season snapshot of spending doesn't tell the whole story. You'd want to have a graph that charts spending, cap space, dead cap, and rolled-over cap.

https://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space/

Like, take for instance how the Broncos are spending 30m more than the Ravens, yet they still have the same cap space. Or the Browns spend 37m more and still have more cap space. Spending is not the best metric here.

The higher the number the less significant each consecutive win is. He was cemented as the greatest ever after the Falcons win, in my opinion, his win against the Rams came on the back of that defense and although this one would be super impressive as well he's playing for a stellar team. Again, not taking away from the achievement but I don't know how significant it is for his legacy which had already been peaked I think.

Maybe if he wins another next year and retires he'll be enshrined on ceramic bowls and they'll sing songs about his greatness long after our society becomes a nuclear wasteland.

I mean, the Falcons were actually good in 2016 though. It was just a freak game, and I doubt we'll ever see a greater playoff comeback (yet alone Super bowl) in our lifetimes.

Yup, that team.

Hell, any team up 28-3 in a game that late should win.
